Weight Gainer/Mass Gainer?

Ok, I have a question on weight/mass gainer. I was a flabby 220 lb. 20 year old a year ago and I’ve trimmed down and put on some muscle and I’m at 175 now. I measured my caloric requirment for my bulking phase and got 3120 calories a day. Was going to do 30% carbs, 50% protein and 20% fat. is that ok? Also, there is no way i could eat 3120 calories a day (never thought i’d say that) but would gettin a mass/weight gainer that has like 500 calories a serving be ok, as long as it isn’t loaded with sugar. just never thought i’d be taking a mass gainer.

3120 is easy pickens

e.g. someone posted their Grow! recipe and it was something like this.

1 banana, 1 yogurt, Grow!, OJ, and Ice.

I just made one to try it but added almonds and without ice.

Grow! 110 cal
Banana 108cal
FatFree Vanilla Yogurt 90cal
1 cup OJ 90cal
Handful of almonds 70-100cal (10-15 almonds)

total calories = 498 calories. I could drink these every hour if I had to.

Just some food for thought.

go to www.caloriecount.com and you will be amazed on how fast calories add up.

Former fatties would do best by avoiding traditional weight gainers unless they want to regain their former status.

Stick with whole foods whenever possible, other than post-workout, and only use a quality protein powder if you can’t get enough of this macronutrient through your diet.

great, thanks , i’d be much more comfortable doing that then buying a mass/weight gainer.

Stick with Grow! and Surge and read this:
