Weight for Work Sets in the Minimalist Program?

In the minimalist two-exercise plan from the Thibaudeau article, what is the recommended sweet spot for weight in the Work Sets in Day 2 and 3?

I suspect it is something sub-failure with the 4-6 reps, like an 8RM or such, but wanted to make sure I’m in the ballpark.
