Weekly vs Biweekly Injections

I just recently changed my protocol from 160mg test Cyp once weekly to 80mg twice a week. How will this affect my total t/ peaks? I want to stay optimized and smoother peaks and valleys.

Thanks

If dose is kept the same, it means lower peaks and higher troughs

How are you dealing with the 7th day?

My protocol is

Monday
-80mg test Cyp

Wed
-1000iu HCG

Thursday

  • 80mg test Cyp

Friday
-.5mg Anastrazole

For future reference, there is a neat website called steroid plotter. You can pick different esters of different steroids and it will plot them out.

160 mg Test C once a week:

80 mg Test C twice a week:

Upping frequency does what @swoops39 mentioned. Lower peaks and higher troughs.

Disclaimer, this is just a tool to approximate things. I don’t know the guts of the equations and constants (half life) used to generate these graphs.

You likely won’t feel a lick of a difference.

Can you split your AI dose into (2) .25mg with each T Cyp injection? Have you tried without an AI or did you start with it?

I started without an AI and had estrogenic effects. Gyno starting, water retention etc. I haven’t thought about splitting the AI, but can look into it.

Gyno and water retention are not the same thing, gyno usually has itchiness involved. You can even get burning sensations and nipple sensitivity and never get gyno.

You require a gene for gyno.

def had gyno. Nipple sensitivity, hard nodules in my breast tissue. Etc.

I’ve gone to the 5 iu (12.5 mg) daily injections with the diabetic syringe. I know there’s a lot of people that say it doesn’t work or even professionals that say it’s nonsense, but it works like a charm. I may up it to 10 iu (25 mg) daily but right now I am pleasantly surprised.

You beet me to the punch! I was going to post the exact same graphs. I find that site extremely helpful in understanding my theoretical hormone profiles. The plots are based on published half lives, so actual results will vary, but as a whole it is a very valuable tool. Here’s the link to the website: https://www.steroidplotter.com/.

Anyone who says it’s nonsense is simply professing their ignorance on the subject of TRT. The T-release graph plots from the web site posted above show that the lower and more frequent the dose, the smaller the difference between the peeks and the nadirs.

In my 10+ years of experience, I also find that the more frequent the dosing, the lower the total amount of T you can get by with and still feel ‘normal’. A dose of 25mg ED results in the exact same weekly dose as a a single injection of 175mg, which in my opinion is high when true TRT is your goal. If muscle augmentation/performance is your goal the dose is on the low side.

Another aspect of small frequent dosing that folks often overlook is that you can get by with using smaller insulin syringes. Say goodbye to the massive harpoons of yesterday. I personally use a 28G 1/2 inch needle and inject into the deltoids. This is a change within the last year. Prior to that I used a 25G 5/8 inch needle into the quads but I started noticing some residual lumps under the skin. I think you need to go a bit longer (perhaps 1 inch) to get into the quad muscle.

Sissy. Haha, kidding of course. I don’t have the patience for the draw time on the small needles. I still use 23ga for glutes and 25ga for delts. Its painless and I’ve not had any issues over the thousand plus times I’ve pinned over the decades.

I find the 27 gauge to be a good compromise. Much faster fill time than 28s and up, but not much bigger on the OD.

28 gauge doesn’t make a lot of sense. I think gauges are standardized? From what I’ve seen, 28s have the same ID (internal diameter) as 29s, but a larger OD (outer diameter). The 28 just has thicker walls, with the same size hole.

Going from 0.184 mm ID with the 28/29 to 0.21 mm ID with the 27 doesn’t seem like much, but IME, cuts the fill time to around a third.

It has been awhile since fluid mechanics, but IIRC, the area would be used to calculate a flow restriction, not the diameter. That makes a bit bigger diameter pretty advantageous.

I’ll give that a try next time. Since I’m only doing TRT and HGH now I have very little oil to inject. Makes sense more now than ever.

I can picture it now  :joy:

I know I had a significant fall off with a 7 day so I went to a 3.5 day split (Sun AM - Wed PM)

On TC with a 3.5 day split starting Sunday AM my TT/FT levels were 771/202 Monday, 837/203 Tuesday, 780/162 Wednesday. Shallow muscle thigh.
