I am currently in the process of shopping for a web hosting service.
Nothing big or controversial. Your basic 1st webpage. FYI, for various technical reasons, I won`t host my webpage with my ISP.
Any recommendations ?

Hey Dan, host4profit.com offers tons of stuff including 300 megs, plus it only costs 5 bucks for each additional domain, which can really save you money if you plan on having more than one site.

I’ve used freeservers.com for a long time. You can ge a free URL through them, if you want, although you’ll have a few extra characers in the middle (ie. mine is www.thejeffpage.8k.com ). You can have a free site with a banner ad, or pay a small free to have no ad.
The site Mike was talking about sounds good, though!
brinkster.com gives you a good ammount of space for FREE with NO banners.
It’s good not only for a first website but for something more advanced as well, such as a webstore.
