Weaning Off My AI Experiment Log

Same… And pretty much around the same time come to think of it… I oftentimes give myself my injection at night before bed. You?

I do it within the first 3 hours of waking up usually.

Same here. Boners all night while I sleep and theyre there when I wake up.

6 week update…

It’s been 6 weeks since I last took anastrozole. And, I’ve been on EOD injections of @200mg per week for 6 weeks.

Still no “high E2” symptoms.
Most days, I have plenty of energy during the day, but I seem to hit a wall in the evenings.

I think it’s safe to say that my goal of dropping the AI is going to happen. But I wouldn’t say that I feel better than my previous protocol. Especially seeing that I’m more tired at night.

I may get blood work to see where my free T and total T levels are.

Seeing that I inject EOD in the mornings, would the best time to get bloodwork be in the morning of my injection, prior to the injection?

Or would it not really matter, since my injections are EOD?

Test pregnenalone and DHEA

Of you’ve been doing an EOD protocol since you’re last labs it may make the most sense to do it at the same time of day for comparison sake but basically 48 hrs after the last shot is the best time to do it.

I would stay on the current protocol a little longer but if you still feel the way you are now you could try daily and see if that helps. I personally found I have the most energy when on a daily protocol but I’m sure others could have a totally different experience.

Since I’m not familiar with either of those, why do I need to get them tested?

I wouldn’t think that injecting the same weekly dose more frequently would make me more tired. If anything, I’d think my levels would stay more even, and I’d have more energy.

If they are low they could be causing your drop in energy.

And you’re thinking that going to EOD injections, and dropping the AI, would cause them to go low?

Ive read/heard that TRT patients suffering form tiredness, etc are usually put onto DHEA/Preg sometimes regardless of blood test levels. Most recently Ive heard Dr. Rob Kominiarek speak about this but I know I’ve heard others too. The stuff is cheap enough so maybe get a bottle of each and go through them and see how you feel.

I just looked at my last blood test from 1/10/2020, just previous to my going off anastrozole and switching to EOD.

Pregnenalone wasn’t tested, but my DHEA-Sulfate was 315.2 ug/dL and the range was 71.6-375.4.

One other thing I noticed was my Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy was flagged at 116ng/mL with a range of 30-100.

Not sure if excess vitamin D at that level can cause tiredness.

DHEA looks good. Do you supplement Vitamin-D? Not sure either if excess would make you tired. Have you mentioned the basics like sleep, snoring, alcohol/marijuana consumption?

I’ve been supplementing with 10000iu vitamin D3 per day, since I tested low over a year ago.

Sleep patterns haven’t changed since my protocol has changed. I still snore now, but wasn’t this tired in the evenings when I was injecting every 3.5 days. I’ve actually been drinking more water, I don’t take/smoke marijuana, and no other drugs besides BP meds, which haven’t changed. Barely ever drink alcohol.

The only things that have changed are my trt protocol, I’m drinking more water, and cutting out sugar for the most part, from my diet.

Edit: fwiw, my bp seems to have come down a little, 6 weeks after changing to eod injections, and dropping anastrozole.

Before the protocol change, and being on bp meds my bp was anywhere from 120/80 to 130/90.

Just checked today and it was 104/65.

And what’s funny, now that I think about it, the last few weeks, overall, I’ve felt more calm. More at ease.

I wonder if the AI was keeping my bp up…

I guess I’ll keep closer tabs on my bp, and see.

The only way that I can really know, is to see if my bp stays lower than it has been. I’d love to come off of bp meds.

Dude that’s way too much. I took 5,000iu/day for 4 months and started feeling a drop in energy levels and feeling not quite right. I dropped vit D completely for months and then got on 1,000iu/day and have been fine.

I was 145/80 when on an AI and now am 115-120/65 when not on an AI. I also found that my blood pressure registers higher when I’m in the doctors office even though I have zero anxiety but at home tests it’s normal. I even took my at home test to the doctor and it registered high. Something to keep in mind.

That seems quite low. Maybe time to talk to the doc about getting off the BP meds.

I take the same and only hit 60-65. Depends on the individual.

I was under the impression 5,000iu/day was the minimum to keep levels stable much less bring them up but @johann77 posted something on vit D and that’s what changed my mind. Too much for too long can definitely make you feel like poo-poo.
