Weaning Off My AI Experiment Log

That’s probably why my vitamin D level was so high. I just took what the doc told me to take.

That’s what I’m hoping. I’ll give it a little while, and see if it stays that low.

I thought you had to watch the numbers with this one and keep it in high-normal to be most beneficial. I need the 10k to even get me mid range BUT I may not be taking it properly either. I combine it with K but I THINK you are supposed to avoid taking it with a meal containing fats.

My dose is also higher because I have a genetic mutation where I don’t convert sunlight to D.

I think even Dr. Serrano suggests larger dosing of D.

I think it’s the other way around. I’ve read you should take it with fatty meals to aid absorption??

Yeah I’m not saying you should lower YOUR dose I’m just saying it’s possible to take too much and feel like crap. Too much can be a different number for everyone. I wasn’t aware that vitamin D could make you feel bad until I stopped. I was taking too much for me.

I’m just going to take 1 gel tab of D3 per day, instead of 2.

If stopping anastrozole can get me off of my BP meds, that would be great. My last visit, my doc upped my prescription of T, from 160 per week, to 200 per week. And the pharmacy gave me 2 vials of 200mg/ml per week, instead of the one vial I’ve always been getting. If they keep doing that, I’ll have extra to play with.

@Gossamer
Sounds like 2020 is going to be a damn good year my man.

Any time that I can get off of medication, it’s great. I do not like even taking ibuprofen when I have a headache.

I’m just thankful that you guys steered me straight on the harm of anastrozole.

Hey @Gossamer, assuming you are still feeling good on a higher dose and EOD injections? How have libido, sleep, body comp, water retention, etc all reacted to the higher dosing?

I’m considering bumping my dose a bit and read this thread carefully. The doctor I was working with at Defy kept pushing HCG and anastrozole, and I am wanting to try the "@dbossa " approach that you took instead.

For reference, I was on eod injections with no AI, at 200mg per week, for 7 weeks. Then I upped my dose to 250mg per week, which I’ve been on for the last 2 weeks. I’m feeling the best I’ve felt in years, right now. Just the last two weeks, I’ve noticed an increase in strength in my workouts. I’ve upped the weight in just about all of my exercises. I had an on and off libido, for the first 6 weeks, but now it’s really good. Sleep seems the same. I’ve never had any issues with water retention. I don’t notice much difference in body comp, but I do notice a difference in that when I work out, the pumps are better, and my muscles are fuller.

Nice, thanks man. Appreciate the update and glad you are feeling good. I don’t want to hijack the thread but for context I’ve been on TRT for 8 years, had a disastrous experiment with nandrolone in December/January (suggested by Defy), and have been feeling better as I’ve increased my dose (from 120mg per week). I’m currently at 160mg per week on EOD shots and am considering bumping first to 175 and then to 200 depending on how I feel, but I may go straight to 200.

One other thing of note, is that since dropping the AI, and even now that I’ve upped my T dose, my blood pressure has come down. @dbossa was saying that AIs themselves, as well as reduced aromitization while on trt, is not good for the heart. So the reduced blood pressure is in line with what he’s been saying.

Fascinating. I have had somewhat elevated BP when my T was lower. I haven’t been checking lately but I will after I stabilize at a higher dose and see where I end up. Were you working with Defy or any of the other TRT clinics? It destroys my confidence in them that they seem so quick to recommend AIs.

I go to one of the prominent hormone doctors in my area. I just don’t think a lot of them realize how harmful AIs are.
