That’s a great start. I did that and had a few lawns. My buddy did the same.
Then one day we got together to cut down a tree in one of his yards. It went really good.
Then the neighbor hired us. And another, and so on.
Before we knew it, we were modifying trucks to increase capacity, buying bigger saws and trucks and chippers and stump grinders.
Get in touch with local tree companies. They usually produce more than they know what to do with. Have them drop you off truck loads of hard woods.
Start selling it by the cord in the fall.

So I can’t do that just yet, they said, because of a few things:
- they probably aren’t just gonna give out free, good quality wood
- even if they do, they probably aren’t gonna drop it off for free
- I should wait a little while before doing that, that way I will have a truck to load up wood, and whatnot.
So I’ll just have to settle for other jobs, like mowing grass, and raking leaves in fall, and shoveling snow in the winter

Just roll up your lawn clippings and smoke it
That’s not entrepreneurial.
Sell it to rich kids who don’t know any better.

You’re an entrepreneurial kid, you work hard, and you listen to your parents - I like it.
We’re misaligned on sports, but I also recognize it simply isn’t the 90s anymore (damn it).
Keep on keeping on, young man.
