Hi - first time poster here. I’m 46yo and recently had my Testosterone levels checked as I was experiencing low mood, low libido, no energy, no motivation. I have poor joints for my age, and have chronic pain and inflammation, which is apparently the reason my natural T levels are inhibited.
To clarify, my T levels were ‘within range for my age’, and because I’m new to this I even don’t remember the result. My doc is a good guy and recognised my symptoms as being a result of low T (for me) due to my condition and decided to try me on a low level of Testogel. Luckily for me, in no time at all I was feeling like a normal human being again. Low mood is gone, libido has returned, I feel motivated again. I’m on 25g (2 pumps) per day (almost 3 months in). I’m not due for another blood test yet, and I understand the dose is quite low and I guess low risk.
I’m experiencing a strange side effect. I’ve googled this and can’t find an answer, so am throwing it to the forum to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar. I apply the Gel to my chest in the morning after a shower, let it dry, get dressed. Mid-morning I start to feel waves of ‘pleasure’. Not a sexual thing, but a deep sense of ‘warm and fuzzy’, very relaxing and to the point where I have to deep breathe through it. This occurs multiple times throughout the day and into the evening.
I used to workout, going to the gym 4 times a week (had lifted for years) and did martial arts for a few hours a week. Due to severe osteo-arthritis in my shoulder and a (might be called osteo-inclusion?) in my left knee I stopped lifting weights. I have several degenerative discs, developing scoliosis now and since November last year have done very little exercise (no more martial arts).
Since taking Testogel I feel motivated to do some push ups again, and I do a ‘workout’ with physio bands, along with a small amount of time on the cross trainer.
I’m only taking Mobic (7.5mg/day), Panadol Osteo (6/day, some multivitamins, some valerian forte for sleep *not all the time).
Would love to hear if anyone is experiencing anything similar.
Thanks.
