Keeping this thread on-track, I just found this guy’s rap sheet from the link someone posted above.
Letting this guy out of jail last Friday for $1,000 is no longer mind-boggling to me. I’ve been following Chicago news for my whole life and this is normal conduct for DA’s there, and Democrats in other places continue to run DA’s with similar woke priorities. Feel-good mush words like “bail reform” and “addressing structural inequalities” means letting more guys go, plain and simple.
This asshole being out of jail on a pittance bond so he can further terrorize society, as he’s done his whole life, is the result of woke priorities.
That little bitch is only 5’8" and a buck fifty according to the rap sheet. Let the men of Waukesha each drop $100 for a chance at 5 minutes in a room with him, with all proceeds going to the victims.
You unlearn these things by not passing the damages onto your kids. By not telling people that ‘white privilige’ is the reason you aren’t successful. By being accountable for your actions. By working together to find reasons you are more like your neighbor than you are different.
If you focus on the things that make everyone different, you forget the things that make you alike.

I don’t know what your local US media is saying, but my country’s news broadcast is in total denial that the incident was anything other than tragic criminal activity.

Now the media is trying to paint this incident as a traffic accident. Multiple major media outlets claiming Brooks was “fleeing” a domestic violence situation and accidentally drove into the crowd.
It’s pathetic and telling of our society by how the mainstream media is trying to spin this incident. Holy fuck.
Yep, running from the cops after committing crime.
Accidentally running into a parade route at that speed is not something that happens. Even if one’s brakes were to fail any reasonable, non-felon would have steered the car away from a crowd, not towards it.
I’ve just gone back an reviewed some of the “major media outlets” account of the tragedy, and none used the phrase “accidentally drove into the crowd.” NONE. The stories stated that the police reported that the suspect was fleeing the scene of a domestic incident. That’s really all they have to go on (it’s only been 24 hours) Maybe your detective work from your mommy’s basement is different than police’s.
And the word “plowed through” was used multiple times, and awful descriptions of the carnage from witness have been included. Not exactly underselling the violence of the act.
They’ll die either way. One way just means they’ll have to spend several decades in prison before that death. That’s how I’ve always looked at it but I’m sure I’d someone hurt a loved one my feelings could change.

No news outlets I’m aware of is painting this tragic and fucked up incident as a hate crime or domestic terrorism. You know full well what the media would portray this as if the perpetrator was white, and especially if the victims were black.
