Seriously, how do you search for and find races of this type? What is the generic name for this sort of thing or is there a forum for these sorts of races?

I dont know if there is a generic name for them but I would just google different variations of “adventure race” “obstacle course race” or something like that?

Anyone plan on doing anything other than running to train?
I’m thinking about trying 1/4 run with different exercises in between, i.e.:
1/4 sprint, pull-ups, 1/4 run, front squats, 1/4 run, KB swings, 1/4 sprint, jump rope, 1/4 run, etc…
Do you have to pay the fee if you just want to show up and drink beer, eat meat, and cheer your freind on?

Im doing the midwest one in Chicago, June 19th. Definitely not a runner, but I’m a drinker and fan of challenging my body.
