Might be a stupid question but it will make sense further on. Do you wear your weighted vest all day? I was reading the Vertical Jump Bible and they were saying that if you wear 10% of your body weight all day even training and except sleeping that you’ll gain in strength and more so keep those gains.

It was comparing people who just would train in the vests for the hour or two. There is actually a study done that they quoted from in their book. It was interesting to read. Thought I would share with you.

Once again great stuff, i really enjoy reading your stuff. Not only your workouts, which are great, but your ideas and thoughts as well. It shows you have the skills to forge ahead in your own direction, not only in working out, but mentally as well. Kudos to you.

Ironically, Alpha actually seems to be an alpha!

and when you say gain in strength, do you mean in all areas or just in their vert? This interests me and may be something I have to experiment with. thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Yes, it has to do with vert (only thing they seemed to mention). However, a increase in vert means a increase strength/power output of legs. Not seeing the actual study I don’t know if they had the testees just train vert etc. So, yes some experimenting will have to be done.

(Sorry I cannot seem to copy and paste the text) They also mentioned that it had to do more with athletes reaching their peak jump height. They then wore the vest for 3 weeks like I mentioned before and increased their vert on average 3.5 inches.

Just thought I would share. I do not have any self experience with it so I cannot offer much more than what I have read.

I’ll have to start wearing my vest more often… rather than just at the gym
