Wanted: The Movie

Certain visual effects also gave the movie a lot of credibility:

Joy Ride was pretty good. Joy Ride 2 not so much.

Superbad was hilarious, you must be over 40 or something

]29.  To tell the truth, I barely remember anything from that movie, mostly because I was bored through most of it and just wanted it to end.

The OP’s problem is that he’s judging a flick by how real it is. Who gives a shit. It’s a smash-em up for shits sake.
No, the OP (me) was judging it on general shittiness and lack of creativity. I also started a thread on this now because I never considered watching it, therefore I didn’t notice there being a thread on it…until now.

See, I enjoy lots of movies that most people think are dumb. I like all the Cohen Bros flicks and am constantly told I like stupid movies. For example, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was the best one. Let the riots begin.

No, this movie was unimaginative. Curve the bullet. Okay. Curve the bullet in a circle and hit 8 guys. No. Gay.

Dues ex machina (or whatever) plot twists. Okay. The same tired, “Luke, I am your father.” No. Homo.

The movie was not entertaining. It just sucked. I should have rented the Leprechaun.

Oh yeah, and I think Angelina Jolie is hot. But in this movie she was anorexic looking.

The first Jeepers Creepers was actually fairly decent. What is it people don’t like about that movie?

I agree, I thought it was pretty good.
Better than Prom Night or any of those other “Made for fifteen-year old makeout sessions” horror movies they mass-manufacture these days, definitely. I thought the idea for the monster was acually pretty ingenuitive and unique, too.

The second one, on the other hand, blew a large, firm cock.

No doubt that the second one sucked.

You guys want a bad movie?

I just watched about half of “Blue Demon” while eating my last meal of the day. Let me briefly summarize this movie:

The government genetically modifies great white sharks to defend our coastlines against terrorist attacks. The midget from Bad Santa plays one of the scientists involved. Something happens and the sharks start eating people. Meanwhile, all actors are required to appear as if they are reading off of cue cards.

If you have Showtime, you might be able to catch it sometime this week. I highly recommend doing so. Even a crappy movie like Wanted (I personally didn’t like it, but if you did, more power to you) will seem brilliant after 30 minutes of “Blue Demon.”

The worst movie ever to be released into a theatre was Ultraviolet. Period!

Have you seen Aeon Flux? That makes Ultraviolet look great.

Nothing wrong with Cohen bros films. I love em.

Was too young so loved it but now I just don’t remember.

Why take it so seriously? The movie made fun of itself all over the place.

I thought that was a good twist. They gave him a fake dad to train and kill the real dad.

Right. It just sucked, just not entertaining, just anorexic and just boring. Guess you just can’t explain yourself. Which is exactly what your original post was.

I actually liked Wanted. When he smashes the keyboard on his “best friend’s” face and the letters spelled out Fuck You, that was cool. The very last scene was cool as well.

I’ll watch anything with Angelina though.

Like I’ve said before, I think way too many people today are just too picky. This movie had GREAT special effects and watching Morgan Freeman get shot in the head like that and watching a bullet make a 360 degree turn and kill 8 people in a row is fucking artistic. If the only thing you can say after watching that is, “that is just completely unrealistic” then I think you need to lighten up.

Most of the movies we now consider classics are FAR removed from reality.

If people want to see a documentary, why are they at the movies?

Yeah the gunplay in that film was really cool.

I disagree Aeon Flux was way better than Ultraviolet. Ultraviolet just LOOKED so fake, it must have been super low budget or something.

Couldn’t agree more! Do people think Terminator is realistic? Doesn’t seem to realistic to me, neither does Spiderman, The Hulk, Iron Man, etc…but they are all great movies! Curious if the OP hated all of those movies too.

Of course we all know that Star Wars happened, didn’t even think I had to mention it! We have one of the stars of the “documentary” right here on this site.

I came across the trailer for “9” and since the guy who directed Wanted is behind it(along with Tim Burton)…I figured I’d post it here instead of making a thread about it.

Yes,I know…Tim Burton. And,yes,its animated…and no,Johnny Depp is not in the cast…lol. Enjoy:
