You say “Generally No”, is that a solid no? Can you explain why it is against the Forum policies? I can understand not talking about sources on this site but If I wanted to connect with someone from here and I said “Hey, hit me up at blahblah@gmail.com” What is the harm in that? Now I am taking the conversation else where.
I am a Marine Vet, what if I was talking to someone on here and he said he was a Marine Vet too and we wanted to talk outside of here?

Ne’er-do-wells seeing the information and misusing it. We’ve had people post their e-mails or phone numbers (seriously) on the site and then complain to us when they get trolled or worse. Essentially, too many dumb people ruined it so we’re saving ourselves the headache by avoiding the problem. It also invites one-and-done spammers to try posting their contact info on the site to advertise whatever services/sites/products which, again, is a minor headache to clean up.
Off-forum contact info is deleted or edited out of a post when a Mod/Admin sees it. You can add an e-mail to your profile info since it’s “protected” by the added step of having to individually check the profile section.

So, I see where my email address is. Is that visible to others? I check other profiles and didn’t see theirs.
Why not make that a solution? Let people choose to have an email address that is visible and public in their profile? Then once it is known in the community, you wont have members giving email/personal info in posts and Stud will quit shaking his milkshake for all the boys.

That’s you’re email address you signed up with, not visible due to obvious privacy concerns. I believe Chris is talking about adding an email address into your profile description.

The way the system is setup, it’s either everyone’s addresses are visible to everyone or no one’s are. We prefer the latter and believe most people do, too.
You can enter info into the About Me section of your profile preferences and that info will appear when anyone clicks your username or checks your profile.

so a little update,
had a my test levels checked by my primary physician. levels we at 130.
They are putting me on Androgel 20.25mg/1.25g 1.62% applied once a day(20mg). for 30 days and return for a follow up appt. Im not sure how well it will work for my benefit but all I can do is try it and see what happens.
what concerns should I have with contact with my kids and with side effects?
I love that the doctor has put you on this stuff but didn’t explain to you the possible side effects or how long you should wait before making contact with your kids. Very thorough.
You won’t get to the same levels with the gel as you would with injection, but studies show that gel patients do well overall. I think they say four hours before contact with kids or partners, but that can change depending on how well you absorb it.
