Pretty good extreme bro day. Decided to skip dips because for once my left shoulder was feeling pretty good and I’d rather finish the day like that then attempt 3 sets of dips, accomplish 1 set, hurt shoulder, and give up on the other 2 lol

Rest day today (got my kids this weekend).

Spent the day acting like a normal human for most of the day which was weird. Pre breakfast and breakfast were normal, but had a burger and fries for lunch and a giant homemade BLT with all the bougee fixins for dinner.

Feelin extra bloated and I can feel my pulse lol

Edit: and I took an hour nap on the couch, which never happens. Kids were watching a movie and bam! Asleep lol

Childhood trauma is a bitch. Therapy definitely is helping me a ton. I hope it is helping you too. Keep at it.

So far it’s helping in the fact that we are making progress. I now understand a little bit why I am the way I am. Still can’t fathom being “fixed”, but I know it’s possible. Just a time thing.

Haven’t been going long and I know it’s not a quick process

Yeah it sucks but it takes a while to get anywhere. Like a lot of things I suppose.

Unfortunately you are correct. All things in life I currently desire takes lots of time, dedication, and hard work. Which sucks :joy:

Haha yeah there are a lot of things that I am like damn why didn’t you just stick with this or figure this shit out when I was 20

Haven’t stop in here for a while but… every day is not going to be glorious. We all want it to be, but that is unrealistic. It’s the days that it doesn’t go right that’s important. You showed up, you put the work in, that’s what makes the difference.

I 100% agree, just frustrating spending most of the time going backwards, or stagnant when I’m trying so hard. Hired a coach, following his workout and nutrition as close as possible, taking drugs, giving it my all, and I look and feel the exact same as when I started this blast (even have weekly check in photos to prove it :joy:). Idk what’s wrong with me. It seems 99% of the population could make more progress sitting on the couch than I have, and I’ve given it my all for the lack of gains. Just defeating sometimes.

Dude, you are preaching to choir. My bench has been stuck for years, yes years! My arms still look like twigs blah blah blah. Somedays you have to just stop and remember how far you have come. No, you’re not where you want to be, but you aren’t where you started.
Progress has been made. I can remember when you were dying trying to learn how to squat.

Yea there has been progress for sure, I just seem to be stuck at this level and it’s a mental mind fuck lol

For the record, I still can’t squat lol but luckily I’ve found a good hack squat machine and love (hate) it lol

Another short and sweet leg day. Plan was to best last workouts 375 set of hack squat but my mind convinced me to rack the damn thing. Of course as soon as I racked it o realized I made a mistake. Such a weird thing trying to convince your brain you’re not dying.

This workout was also done with zero pre workout and lots of yawns. I got some new stim free workout pills and they are awesome, turns out they also fall out of shorts pockets easily as well. That was a MAJOR bummer to reach for them and they weren’t there. Searches my truck like a crack head looking for his fix

Lying leg curl (seated taken)
150 x 14
150 x 12
140 x 12

Hack squat
375 x 5
485 x 10
465 x 6
375 x 13 fawwwkkk mind gave up before body

RDL’s
315 x 10
315 x 10 (maybe 9, counting hard :joy:)

Nothing like yawning uncontrollably between sets of squats. This is usually me on a Monday night. LOL

I know right :joy: it’s the weirdest feeling to be pushing hard and still yawning and moping around like a zombie

Yep I literally feel like I could lie down on the bench and sleep sometimes, like that feeling you get when you are driving late at night and wonder if you just fell asleep at the wheel! And then I get up, synch up my belt and squat a PR set. Crazy.

You’re workouts are looking quite solid!

me every day

I haven’t completed a leg day in a lonngggg time lol and technically never have with this coach because he wants lunges at the end, when I’m fried. I do need to start doing them though

Awesome workout. I wish there was a gym close to me that had a hack squat machine. I have been wanting to try it out.

This is the first one I’ve found and I love (hate) it! I’ve always wanted to squat and put up good numbers, it’s always the “coolest” exercise in my mind. With all the pain and trouble I have I can’t/don’t squat so this has been a life saver
