I knew that. I remember reading that somewhere. You’d be so much sexier as a lineman though. I bet even @theBeth woukd agree.
So went and tried out the fancy new gym! They didn’t have as much Prime equipment as I thought but they still had a good bit. Only used the back and one tricep machine. Loading and unloading is quite the task, especially in a commercial gym where idiots never return plates where they go. Luckily everything is close to enough to steal from.
From what I’ve seen prime wise they have:
Chest supported row
Lat pull down
Flat/incline/decline chest press
Seated tricep push down thingy
Seated bicep curl
Standing calf raise machine (this one made me lol)
And maybe a couple more I missed but those are the main ones.
The prime equipment really seems to jive well with how I like to train, just make it heavy as hell and go to town, no reps with X percentage stuff. I didn’t try any chest stuff but the back equipment was awesome! I made the bottom light and middle heavy and fully contracted portion even heavier. Really let me sink my chest into the bad and save my lower back, and letting me get the heavy shit where it counts!
The rest of the equipment is about the same as everywhere else, high quality, but generic. They do have a hack squat though!! Always wanted to try one.
Recognized a guy who works there who used to work at my current gym. He recognized me and we talked about the pros/cons of this gym. He did mention that they are getting a lot more super fancy equipment, along the lines of Prime but even fancier, can’t remember the name.
Prime lat pulls downs 4 sets to failure
Prime chest supported rows 4 sets to failure
Smith BOR’s 2 high rep sets to failure
Back was smoked after this and I was crunched for time.
Dips 3 sets to failure
Lying skull crushers 4 sets to failure with the 70
Rope push downs 3 sets to failure
Seated prime tricep extensions 2 sets to failure

What do you think about these labs? My RBC count is on the higher side and my hct is on the lower side. I read that if one is high the other should be too. Whatcha think?
Ended up getting home from work around 8am. Slept till 12:30 and then spent the rest of the day with the kids.
Girlfriend came home tonight and neither one of us felt like cooking so I decided to have a cheat meal.
Which I fully regret now. I’ve been so on track, I wasn’t even having bad cravings, just didn’t feel like cooking. So much guilt.

Went to melts - patty melt with extra patty and fried egg. Would have probably been a lot better had I not got it to go.
That said, first time I’ve had this many carbs in a day let along a meal, probably more carbs in this meal then I eat all week. Instant pump. Back looked absolutely insane, traps too. So wild.
It was nice to feel human though.
Also, no workout today. It’s a self care day
That’s the fkn worst. Patty melts are one of those foods that need to be eaten right away though before the bread gets soft.
This is exactly what I was talking about earlier. There are a lot of blessings in these cheat meals. That said

Tonight’s (unplanned) cheat meal was amazing. Had the kids over and my girlfriend cooked homeade air fried chicken (crust was zero calorie) with homemade cabbage casserole and cornbread pudding.
I was meal prepping while she was doing this and I caved. So fucking worth it.
That cornbread has me hungry now.
