I honestly have no idea lol that was a while ago and I no longer do face pulls.
It wasn’t any new exercise, I’m not sure any of those even exist. It was just a personal finding that helped me isolate/target them better, wether that be change in ROM, arm path, attachment, mental cue… idk
Not that it’s a crazy new way but I did some not long ago with a light band with isometric contrast: first rep holding contraction 12 secs. 2nd rep holding contraction 10 secs. Then 8, 6, 4, 2 and zero.

Finished the last bit of storm restoration this evening. Back to normal finally!
Yesterday snuck in just a smidge of OHP, rows, and a touch of arms.
Did legs tonight. Worked up to 345 on squats and knee was a little funky, so just did a final set with 225. Didn’t count reps but judging by the arm tingling and numbness it was close to 20.
Did some more arms as well.
Tomorrow will be back to normal and a push day
Diet has been so good. Ran out of meal prep around Wednesday or Thursday and didn’t have the time to cook much but managed to stay carb free until dinner, and then it was a small amount of complex carbs. Weight is around 208.
Celebrated being back to normal at stix tonight (Japanese steakhouse) and had filet, scallops, and veggies. It was so hard not to get rice and noodles but I’m proud to say I didn’t eat a single bite of them

Went to the gym today after helping my girlfriend move the rest of her stuff today. Haven’t been to the commercial gym in a couple weeks. It was very sad to see myself in the mirror in a tank top. So much dyel it wasn’t even funny

Got 10 on first set of DB OHP with 75’s. Been a couple + weeks since I’ve used dumbbells and I’ve lost ~3-4lbs since then, nice to see the strength hasn’t plummeted yet. Stamina has though, the rest of the sets were weak AF. Probably a combination of deficit, loooong work week, and poor sleep.
Probably gonna do back day at home. I really really miss those back machines but idk how I feel about the gym right now lol

Meal prep for the next few days:
10oz (cooked weight) ground turkey with hot sauce, plain steamed veggies, and halfacado. Protein shake for first breakfast and cheese stick for afternoon snack.

I love the machines big gyms have but it’s a mental mine field for me. All the dudes big, all the girls are hot. Neither one of those are good for my mental state ![]()

Ya I really miss the hot girls aspect of lifting in a gym … pretty much nothing else.
Na I’m not worried about covid, at all. The big dudes make me sad and the Instagram models walking around half naked make me have bad thoughts. Being in a relationship, I’m trying to take the high road and alleviate those thoughts as best I can. I’ve had multiple people agree with me that this particular gym is like no there we’ve been too, it’s literally covered in tons of girls with the perfect lifter type bodies. It’s crazy

Dude me and you both. I’ve had a serious thing for fit chicks for as long as I can remember, and the shorter ones are even better
it’s like a test every time I go into the gym and I think it’s mentally healthier to try and stay away from that. But I do miss it lol
I take it one step further…
jacked dudes doing everlasting sets does not motivate me.
What motivates me is when jacked women are warming up with my max weight!!
