WannaBe’s Last Year Of “DYEL?”

whoops, might have linked the wrong study

There was an article/research review in Stronger by Science that questioned P- ratios and there were dozens of studies linked. The problem is that I’m not allowed to post that link and didn’t have time to find the right study link

I have never heard anyone claim that, but I’ll happily investigate

Google “Stronger by Science P- Ratios”

I read through this. It seemed the analysis was pretty well done. They are asserting that fat mass doesn’t really impact muscle gain rates (disproving the notion that you need to cut first or you will just get fatter).

Indeed… But also the author rambles for like 4 paragraphs about how something that wasn’t disproved is not proved and so on for whatever reason, and that nothing has been proven in either way, and that anecdotal evidence doesn’t prove anything etc… So lots of air.

But this makes me ponder indeed… WHERE’S SCHOENFELD TO DO A STUDY ABOUT IT???

Because many people are morons (by that I mean they have very little understanding of epistemology, and are often fooled by fallacious reasoning).

I do agree that these articles are long winded.

They’re just trying to cover all bases. Most of my professors get REALLY annoyed when students say that studies “prove” anything

If you eat well and train hard there is no reason you wouldn’t get big. Size is all about eating brother. Sam Dancer and Jason Khalipa are freaking monsters

Oh I’ll be big one day. Might take me longer than some, but I’ll be a unit one day

Yes you will

Naaaa that’s the unit. I’ll be a unit

Let me know how being lean feels, as a constant fatty (with a huge amount of variance in that range), I imagine it would be a complete mindfuck to get actually lean.

This could be you

I’d sell my left leg for that

Good leg day

Worked up to 255 x 10 then did 1.5 reps with 255 then did 1.5 reps with 225 then paused reps with 225 then a drop set to 135 then leg extensions. Wanted to puke so skipped hammies lol

You’d struggle to maintain that with just one leg!

This is a real mind fuck to be sure - I went from 240 to 215, really leaned out, but mentally it was hard for me to maintain - I liked being big. I think this will be an enourmous obstacle. Also…losing weight is one of the hardest things in the world to do in my experience.

godspeed, man!

I’m guessing I’ll be around 180lbs to be lean. I was 17 or 18% (can’t remember which, but it’s one of those) at 205-210ish my last dexa scan BEFORE my blast. Assuming I put on a couple pound on lean tissue I shouldn’t have to dip below 180, I’m hoping. If I do I’ll probably sulk bulk right back up. Abs on a skinny kid aren’t impressive…

Well 180 is a great weight, I’m 187 ahahah

Went from 245 to 180, I don’t regret it at all. I used to think I was so big. Well I was, I mean my arms were 18’’ and now they are 16’', but looking at it, I had “fat goggles”, just like “beer goggles”.

I thought I was big and mean, I was just a fatso

Ah so that’s how I get to 18 inch arms, thanks @aldebaran.
