It’s been 21 hours since my last feelings of fullness. I miss giants plates of rice. I miss my Oreos. I miss all the snacks I had access to at work.
I did some cardio tonight after work. Just a walk around the neighborhood, hungry, trying to guess what everyone was cooking for dinner based on the smells. No segsy ladies out tonight walking. Just the lingering odor of fresh cooked goodness in large quantities.
Yesterday wasn’t a good day physically or mentally so I skipped the gym. I did go for a walk though and that was nice.
Did legs today and it went really well. Maximum effort was given! My weak mind tried to talk me into giving up and blaming my back and knees which are feeling “off”. Surprisingly, didn’t quit

A few reasons. The only one that has any real merit is time. I didn’t choose the best time to start this. December 15th was my first declared day of “I’m gaining weight!”. It should have been in October.
I started adding up the weeks till my personal goal deadline, then started adding up the amount of weight I’ll probably have to lose, and it was let enough time. I was worried that even with 101% strict commitment it wouldn’t be enough time l, let alone enough time including slip ups and bad days and what ever else comes my way
Just a complete shit show over here man. Purposely not logging anything In hopes of somehow helping my weak mind.
Still working out, just with far less weight and reps
I did go through two sleep studies and got told I don’t have any REM sleep so that’s why I suck in the gym and feel like a zombie. Apparently my blood oxygen levels go to 80 while “sleeping” too which she said wasn’t good.
The best part!? National back order for cpap machines so probably be next month before I get one . All my muscles will be gone by then so should be ready to start over soon
They did let me sleep with one on the second night, you know, just so I could not be tired and feel great for one day and then be told can’t have that
According to you, you dont have much muscle to lose anyways so you’ll look no different!
/s/
Your sleep patterns are likely unchanged and have been like this for a long time. You shouldn’t have to worry about losing muscle, but if it really concerns you - stay at maintenance calories… your body wont atrophy your muscles if theyre being used and being fed enough to stick around.
The cpap place was able to get a delivery in his week so yesterday I got my cpap!
Had the worst sleep I think I’ve ever had in my life . So much brain fog and so tired. I think it’s the mask though. It woke me up so much. Luckily I have the mask they used at the sleep study so I’ll switch to that and see how it goes.
I think once I get it figured out I’ll be ok, but so far I hate that mother fucker
It just makes it so hard to breathe. She showed me how to play with all the settings but I just need to sit down and figure out what I need. It’s like when I want to breathe in it wants to breathe out and when I wanna go out it wants to go in. The pressure they prescribed me (8-15) also feels like it’s trying to blow my lungs up. So unnatural.
The way they had the machine set up at the sleep study was so much better, which hopefully means mines just adjusted poorly
It felt very strange to me at first too, but I got used to it. You can also down-regulate that pressure, or let it ramp up slowly so you don’t notice it.
You should look into different CPAP masks; they can make a huge difference in comfort
So while I’m wearing it and awake, sometimes I’ll go to breath in and it won’t pump air so I’m struggling to breathe in. Sometimes while I’m trying to breathe out it releases pressure, then pulsates air on and off making it difficult to breathe out. It seems to get off rhythm quite often making it a chore to breathe in, or out.
Almost every pulse of air is different. Sometimes it’s barley any air, sometimes it hits so damn hard it almost blows the mask off my face. Like legit blows my cheeks up and feels like it’s trying to pop my lungs.
It’s the most random chaotic thing I’ve ever experienced. The place that I got it from just tells me “oh it takes a few weeks to get used too”, but it’s not the mask strapped to my face that’s bothering me… it’s that it seems almost impossible to breathe.
I didn’t think my sleep could get worse but ever since I got the cpap machine I legit feel like I’m gonna die from lack of sleep.
The kicker? The night I used theirs it was a little weird, but I got the best sleep I’ve ever had and actually had energy and happiness the next day! I’m using the actual mask I used in the sleep study, they gave it to me. The fancy one I bought it complete garbage.
@mnben87@blshaw y’all use cpap machines too don’t you? Any insight?
Can you send a picture of what your CPAP looks like? I haven’t experienced this with mine, but I’ve had to mess with the settings quite a bit so I might be able to help troubleshoot
Mine looks like this (ResMed AirSense 10)
