Took a couple days off to rest, sleep well, eat well, and recharge my batteries. Come back and I’m weak as piss. So frustrating.

Had a killer tits shoulders and bicep workout. BB OHP is making just a touch of progress and feeling good. Had a really good session today and it counter balanced the horrible one yesterday lol

Last day of on call is today! Glad to have that over and get back to sleeping and normal life lol.

Also worth noting that I’m starting my first blast. Gonna take some good “before” pictures this weekend and I have a dexa scan scheduled for Monday to complete the before information. Plan is to run it 14 weeks unless something happens and I need to cut it short.
Well things are going great. Woke up sick as balls yesterday. Still sick. No fever or loss of smell or any crazy rona things. Think I’ve got strep or just a bad cold.
Manned up and went to the gym. Felt light headed and like a zombie most of the time but got a decent back workout in. Strength was only down a touch. Only did one thing for triceps. Just ready to crawl back into bed.
Definitely on the mend though, just not 100% yet
Woke at 206, down a little due to being sick and finding it hard to consume enough food.
So had my dexa scan this morning. A bit surprised! Both good and bad lol
My LBM is up to 181.82, which is a (measured) all time high. So that’s good. What’s funny is my legs are sooooo much smaller than the last time. I’m actually down 6.1 pounds of lean mass on my legs. Which is no surprise. But that means my upper body has grown!
Looks like trunk and arms are the upper body growers this go around. Trunk, I’m not surprised. I’ve been killing it on back day and have seen good growth. The arms though… very surprised. Although I feel the composition of my arms has improved, but the look and tape measure hasn’t seen any changes. Maybe flexed I can tell a little bit of difference, but that’s it.
Fat is down everywhere. Which is good. I still feel and look pretty damn fluffy. And despite the numbers showing someone who obviously works out, the look still isn’t there. I definitely carry fat in the worst places (all upper body, quads and shins/calf’s show vascularity well), it also seems I carry most muscle in places that are easily hidden or not in the areas I’d like/visually appearing.
My visceral adipose fat is up a little, which is not good. Time to do some research and figure out what I need to do. Obviously more(aka add) cardio will help. Any suggestions there?
Plan is to eat to recover and grow from here. Got another one scheduled for March and I’d love to see 15+ pounds of lean mass added by then. I’d consider anything over 10 to be a success, and anything under and I’m just fucking stupid and need to take a long hard look at just wtf I think I know and what I’m doing.
What’s the blast going to look like?
Doubled my TRT dose then added about 80mg just to make dosing more even/easier. I bought some Dbol to possibly play with towards the end. I’ve always wanted to try it because of how people say it makes them feel. I’m still undecided if I’ll use it, or save it for later. Half tempted to just save it and add it to my regular TRT dose just to see how it does.
I guess it depends on how I feel/look in a couple months or so.

I’ve been thinking about going and getting checked to see if I need TRT, not sure I actually do but I will probably give test a run at some point even if I don’t need it. Waiting til I hit a few weight and lifting goals before I make that leap though. TRT been a big game changer for you?
No lol. It had helped with my anxiety quite a bit, but other than that I’m not sure. Prior to TRT I had only ever once tried to get serious about lifting. I saw zero results body wise and gave up shortly after. Looking back I can find numerous reasons why I didn’t make progress, T could be one of them but who knows.
I was always jealous of those people who got on and felt like Superman d it was a life changing experience for them. My numbers where horrible, and i most definitely needed TRT, but there has been no big game changes. I do think it has helped me in the gym for sure though, but I also can’t discredit my work ethic and changes I’ve made to diet.
I can grow a beard now, so that’s a huge plus

Don’t take what I said as TRT hasn’t helped in the gym. It’s physically impossible for it not to help. I’m just saying idk by how much because since starting, I’ve cleaned up my diet, improved gym knowledge, learned much more about my body, and have made numerous changes to diet. Each one of those things is pretty big IMO. So you take all 5 of those big changes, and divide it up amungst my meager gains, and it’s a wash as to what the real magic pill was ![]()
Another decent workout. Still sick, pushed through feeling weak and a bad headache.
This sickness coincides with starting the blast, as well as getting off a long on call week that was mostly spent in freezing rain. So I’m either sick, or gots the ever so mysterious test flu.
Continuing to train while sick is probably what’s keeping me from recovering. The good news is I’m about to head to the mountains and spend a few days in a bad ass cabin, with unfortunately no gym lol. So when I come back I’ll hopefully feel better, or have put off an actual illness so long that now I’m reaalllyyy sick. Time will tell lol
I have had a similar experience to @wanna_be. Facial hair is better, but not super thick even still. I have had consistent gains on TRT, but not as fast as I expected. Body fat has dropped too. It has just been a lot longer time frame than I expected. I also have done two blasts, and perhaps my experience there is about the same (slower than expected). I think I am relatively developed before TRT though, so I think it is expected to be a bit slower progress.
I didn’t become superman on TRT or on blast. I actually felt more like superman on my first blast which only had my test at 325 mg/wk, second was 600 mg/wk and I felt less as far as feeling superhuman. Perhaps high E2?
Had a killer back and tri day. Demolished my back something fierce! Triceps were meh. Kinda in a rush as I had a metric ton of yard work to do before I leave for the mountains.
Found out what was causing the lack of hunger and explosive shits the instant something touched my lips. Berberine. Trying to be all healthy and look what happens.

Spent the last 24 hours celebrating a friends graduation, ate a lot of good (but bad) food and drinking a little drank.
Came back home tonight and went straight to the gym. Leaving tomorrow morning for the mountains.
Had a good shoulder tits and biceps workout. A little rushed, but it’ll do.
