Wand V. Jardine?

Let’s face it, when Jardine gets caught he normally gets knocked out. Houston Alexander caught him and knocked him out. Silva caught him and knocked him out. Liddell had gotten lazy and predictable which made his split decision win possible. With both Liddell and Silva back in the zone, the 205 division just got really interesting.

Chuck is still out for an undisclosed amount of time last I heard. Same goes for Shogun. 205 is insane right now, but there are a lot of injuries too.

I can’t wait for Rampage/Forrest.

Keith took a few shots from Liddell in their fight as well, but I’m wondering if he’s not warming up well enough before the fight and getting cracked on the jaw when he’s cold leads to him getting planted. In both instances (Houston and Silva) he got dropped within the first thirty seconds of the fight.

Liddell seems to think that he will be back and ready to fight this year. Did you see the pic of his hamstring? Gnarly! My gut feeling is that Rampage will win by TKO 2nd round, maybe even the first. It will still be a war though…always is with Griffin.

That could be the case. It is interesting to note that he does get caught early in the fights…perhaps before he has time to get warmed up. Good point.

Perhaps it’s more the fact that the only strength Jardine really has, is fighting from the distance with his awkward punches, once that distance is closed, he doesn’t have the weapons, nor the chin to continue with the fight.

Jardine was incredibly overrated coming into this fight, that’s for damn sure. The exciting thing is that hopefully Wandy is back in FULL force, maybe down the line he’ll get to go at it with Chuck again!

I hope he’s back too, but I think he loses a rematch to Chuck. His tools just don’t match up well. The whole “Styles make fights” thing.

If Wandi fights the same fight they did last time, I’d say Chuck wins again too. But if Wandi comes in with the “I’m going to go for takedowns and ground fuck Chuck” gameplan, I see a totally different fight. But Wandi loves to stand and slug, even if he has a better chance at winning on the ground.

Chuck “rehabbing” that hamstring.

I disagree, I think a lot of fighters have got KTFO trying to “Go for takedowns and ground fuck chuck” that’s how chuck became a legend.

I’m not too sure about that, In the first fight Silva seemed very hesitant to let the punches go instead of just firing like he’s used to, like he did with Jardine. If he was to engaged in his ferocious style with Chuck, I think he has an equal chance of dropping him. It would definitely make for one of the best fights.

True, but it worked pretty well for Rampage.

I agree but that’s one case, and Wanderlei isn’t known for his wrestling, Tito couldn’t really get him down, I think its the wrong plan. Only thing I really saw was Wanderlei should have kicked more, he saw what Jardine did to him with the kicks.
