I don’t think it will have anything to do with the Gov being jealous.
They will clash because the Gov is power drunk and will go to great lengths to eliminate anyone he perceives will threaten his position.

They haven’t really made much of it in the last few episodes, but when we first encountered the Gov and his scientist friend they were making a really big deal out of the Walkers still having a piece of their old selves trapped in them, weren’t they? I don’t think we got a clear shot of her face in the episode, but I just found this. Not sure if it’s just a production photo, from a deleted scene/alternate angle or whatever, but it looks like he gave her a “snack” first so she was happy with that until her hair/scalp got pulled out and distracted her.

In all honesty, I have no idea where this is going now, other than to a huge mid-season cliff hanger. I’m going to be pissed if more main characters get killed off any time soon though.
I liked the episode. I agree they are setting it up for a mid-season cliff hanger. Does that mean the episode next week will be the last one until next year?
I think Daryl and Meryl will meet up in the next episode and Daryl won’t side with his brother because he is too attached to the group and Carol.
