Waking Up Hungry Question...

this may sound like a stupid question, but when i eat right before bed i wake up really hungry, but if i don’t eat before bed i’m not really hungry at all. anyone know why???

Waking up hungry = a sign of an elevated metabolism = good

Waking up not hungry = a sign of a sluggish metabolism = not good

wow. i’ll try to wake up hungry more often, lol… thanks.

dang i have terrible appetite in the morning, i thought most people were like this

From what I’ve noticed, most people who don’t workout don’t wake up hungry. Although that may be a learned thing since a lot of the people who work out are used to eating more often.

perhaps i need to hit the cardios more.

most of the time i have to force a shake of oats fruits whey and other stuff down.

Yeah, it’s basically both of things you mentioned: high-intensity exercise like training with heavy weights, sprinting, sled stuff etc will keep your metabolism elevated for hours afterwards (unlike the low-intensity cardio you see most people doing) and eating smaller, more frequent meals also keeps the furnace burning much more steadily than three larger meals a day would do.
