Such a great philosophical movie, with some trippy ass animations

This is likely one of my favourite movies of all time.
It’s an oddly fun movie, I remember seeing this for the first time in maybe 11th grade. It’s actually worth repeated viewings too. Clever concept too, and good thing or the entire film would come of as a bit pretentious.
OP have you seen other films by the director, Richard Linklater? He’s directed School of Rock, but besides that he’s done a movie called Slacker (not to be confused with Slackers) which was equally weird. And he did a film version of A Scanner Darkly. I enjoyed Slacker even if it was a bit long, although A Scanner Darkly was a bit too confusing for me to really enjoy [although that may have to do with the book it was based on]. He’s also done Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, which are pretty good for romances. And who can forget Dazed and Confused, he made that one too. He seems to like filming in real time, as opposed to stories that take place over longer than a day, like Waking Life, and Slacker, and Before Sunrise/Sunset.
I highly recommend Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise/Sunset.
Good film. I’m only around 1/4 of the way through.
One of the movies I bought in college, when I was going through a weird phase. Regardless, its an excellent film and thought provoking.
A Scanner Darkly was based on a book by Phillip K Dick, who is a pretty good science fiction writer. He’s got a big cult following. A lot of his books have been made into movies, like Blade Runner, Total Recall w/ Schwarzenegger, Minority Report, and Paycheck.
