Depends on how you define ācardioā and what the goal is.
Are you talking about adding very low-intensity work (e.g. walking) to increase background physical activity and get health effects and some fat loss?
Or do you mean training with the goal of improving aerobic power and capacity?
Or improving overall energy systems efficacy, meaning conditioning work in the aerobic and anaerobic pathways?
Sorry, I wanted to speak with the aim of increasing longevity and improving cardiovascular health
Iād do 1 or 2 hard conditioning sessions per week, walk as much as possible and do zone 2 cardio for 2-4 hours per week total.
