VO2 Max Assault Bike

Reading about the health and longevity benefits benefits of increasing VO2 Max, would a finisher after a lifting session of 3 to 5 min on an assault bike be a good option?

I saw a crossfit challenge of 3 min assault bike for max distance once a week and trying to beat that distance each week.

I see no issue with that as it is mostly anaerobic/high intensity in nature
