But this WASN’T a ‘‘nip slip’’, this was DELIBERATE I tell you, and this Country is going DOWN THE TUBES
I tell you because of it…A nipple…OMG…A NIPPLE!!!

Now excuse me while I watch a Zombie’s Brains being blown out on THE WALKING DEAD, and the Graphic
bloody gore on CSI because Americans LOVE that shit and never complain about it.

Not the only cause, but from what I understand, if current trends continue something like 49% of women will have herpes by the year 2024…

Is selling sex harmless?

Should we talk about body issues, emotional problems, and all that other shit too?
No selling sex is not harmless.

Raising your kids in a society that acts like sex is evil is also not harmless.

Raising your kids in Disney land until past puberty is not harmless.

There are consequences to all of these things that ca actually harm your kids’ development.

Sex sells because sex is literally what we exist on this planet for.

The implications of that sex are all created by society.

We do a lot of damage…trying to be so perfect.

And some more on this:

Oh yes, here it comes trotting out, the “YOU DON’T HAVE KIDS, THERE’S NO POSSIBLE WAY YOU COULD UNDERSTAND!!!”
So, if I was to come into a boxing thread and start talking about how so-and-so should have done such-and-such, pretty much based on everything I learned on Showtime or HBO my opinion would be held as a valid one 100% of the time with zero qualifications?

lol @ the idea that trying to have a conversation about the shitty culture we live in is now equal to crying about something.
FightinIrish26 wrote:
This really offended you?
No, but it made me wonder, so I figured I would have a conversation about it.

Does everyone that disagrees with you get this type of vitriol and logical fallacy when you speak to them?

For someonw who doesn’t care you sure are going to a lot of trouble trying to make my position on the subject something it isn’t.

I think those stats are mostly irrelevant to the issue we’re talking about.

All you people are focusing on the wrong shit…Disney this, Disney that…STFU about that shit,
‘Bad Seeds’ are ‘bad seeds’ no matter how they are raised…You mental midgets lack a certain wisdom
should have engrained in you already…That it DOESN’T matter how or where you’re raised, I’ve known
people who were raised on ‘‘Disney’’ And ‘‘Church’’ that ended up immoral ANYWAY.

Grow a brain, and let go of this silly ‘‘Disney’’ talk…You’re barkin’ up the wrong tree on that one,
there’s not even a ‘tree’ to bark up on here…let that Disney shit go.

C

Gonna bring up Rihanna here. When she’s home in Barbados she’s dancing the same way, and the media is all over “Humph, how dare she?” Look, thats the Caribbean culture, and that sort of thing is simply making its way to mainstream America also with the help of hip hop.

Dudes is just all BUTTHURT because she was a Disney personality. I couldn’t give a rats ass, even though I have a daughter who has a toy box full of Hanna Montana shit. Why? Because while I was watching Breaking Bad, and my Wife the VMA’s , my daughter was watching, Disney XD. Crisis averted due to good parenting (you know, giving a crap about what my kid is doing).

This is wisdom…that character is born and not “bred”?

Unfortunately, most of us recognize that environment effects character…and I have much doubt to most people being born “good or bad” outside of sociopaths.

I agree with Chris Rock, your job is to keep her off the pole.

If your daughter wears clear heels, ever, you failed.

So what then, is the litmus test for social/cultural issues we should actively try and change, and those we should let continue?

I think we need to “de-evil” sex itself.

Make prostitution legal. It’s her body.

Stop pretending that women don’t like sex.

Make rape way less “in the dark” by exposing most normal sex acts from the “taboo closet”.

We cause many of these social issues by pretending we are pilgrims and shocked at this.

Please.

Anyone who grew up after 1959 should not be shocked to this shit…especially anyone who experienced the Viet-nam war or Prince.

It is like those people who go to church and judge other people as “BAD” when they spent their 20’s and 30’s banging everything that moved and snorting coke of tits.

Sex exists…and your kids will want to do it.

Deal with that…and maybe an assless Miley won’t ruin your kids’ world view.

Counting Beans typed: “So what then, is the litmus test for social/cultural issues we should actively try and change, and those we should let continue?”

Nothing, you’re responsible for your own actions…wanna ‘‘change’’ something in society?
Vote, March, Protest… but that’s “Wasted energy” if you ask me, unless the results of your actions actually
tangibly’‘change’’ something.

Theoretically, How pissed would one be if they Pumped Iron and did everything right, yet they didn’t gain an
ounce of muscle?
That would be “wasted energy” wouldn’t it? And that would frustrate you endlessly because you wouldn’t
see any real and tangible “results”…wouldn’t it?
Point made.

I’d say the ever-increasing number of adult males who are still supported by their parents or living at home in their 20’s and beyond is more harmful to our society than the fact that teenagers are being ‘sold’ sex. A weird-ass 20 year old former child star dancing around in her underwear on TV for 6 minutes is nothing. A generation that’s been coddled so much they can’t figure out how to put together 500 dollars/month for rent by time they’re 25? Now that’s frightening.

This is a perfectly normal reaction to a reproductive matriarchy.

It has always been that way, this is what men do when they simply cannot be bothered to care.

I am deeply offended that you would expect men to live up to outdated gender roles.

Not any more frightening than Marriage, a Mortgage, and having a kid that turns out like Miley
no matter how many times she was Baptized.

Right, but there is a line between what is healthy and what isn’t as far as a sex life in concerned.

Not that what you are saying disagrees, but what is wrong with approaching it in a healthy manner and not like this?

Can’t we separate these kind of shows from music awards? I mean, I like burlesque shows as much as the next guy, but does it have to be on MTV?

I will say it was nice to see a bunch of condom commercials air during the show.

I don’t think it will ruin anything, because like you said, our culture is shit.

And for those that think a conversation about American Culture is “first world problems” or pointless, I don’t many threads about how Obama is about to use the same old WMD song and dance to get involved in Syria…

The real unbelievable thing about American culture, is that Miley Cyrus causes a bigger debate than the use of chemical weapons in Syria, world climate, the new position of China, or whatever important issue in this real world.

I don’t want to believe that this is all that America has to offer, culturally-wise. America got great writers, filmmakers, artists in all kinds. But the entertainment culture is just plain bullshit

Wake up, this story sucks, it s just a pitiful 20 yo star being an attention whore. It’s pathetic and ridiculous. That’s all. And she’s ugly.
