So I got some d3 and did little research the dose is between 1000-5000UI but on my vitamin it says one capsule is 10mcg,which is 400UI.On the tub it says take one capsule a day.Isnt that too low should I take 4-5 capsules a day??
There’s some evidence to suggest going even higher than 5000iu daily is the ideal dose. 8000iu is the number Stan Efferding throws out based on a study some Swedish guys did which I’ve never bothered to look into.
But yeah, you’ll need to swallow a bunch of those little caps.
Im afraid that I will make some toxicity cause on that label says 1capsule a day
I regularly get my vitamin D checked. Take 5000 iu Gelcap, plus there is 2000 in my multi.
Vitamin D was 80 on a scale of 30-140
90% of the people that get tested at my job, are well below 30.
7000UI?![]()
wtf mine is in mcg and is 10mcg per tablet,if I take 5 of them thats 4 above the recommended
There’s very little risk of overdosing on vit d3. Most issues come from having higher calcium levels so things like kidney stones can supposedly pop up, but the general population is severely deficient. Not to mention it’s fat soluble so if you’re not taking it with some fat most of it isn’t really being absorbed.
With that being said I vary my intake from 5000iu upwards to 35000iu depending on the season and how many days since the last time taken. I don’t really have too many issues.
I will look, but there was a study about 2 years ago that confirmed that 4000 IU had no toxicity for adults, and 2000 had no toxicity for childred. You can get 10,000 IU liquicaps. You can even drop them in your soup.
I had 800 IU pills. I was taking 2 a day. That’s 1600 IU.
Now when I read you can take up to over 5000… that means I could literally take 6 of them a day.
Ive been taking 10,000iu pills for the past couple months. Im still alive, so it aint that bad.
It makes sense. If you sunbaked for 8 hours you don’t die, you just get sunburnt so Vit D cant be that harmful.
i took vit D for 2 years in a row, i stopped and i saw zero difference.
