Vikki's Rehab Adventure to a PL Total

nice work, as usual

UP, Tightness as in “Crack a walnut with your a$$ !!” must be tight, move more weight with tightness…
-PS your “guns” are looking powerful and love, love, love the delts!!!

Punnyguy - Epic? :-))

Snap - Dr’s response, um interesting. I thought about putting a video together for them…

James, Thank you sir

Spock - Thanks for stopping in, do NOT be a stranger!

tyrfryer - I wouldn’t say that, but if I can inspire anyone to achieve more, that’s all worth it!

Pete - You know, coming from you that means a lot! Anytime you have suggestions, please, I’m all ears!!

Ok, just to let you all know I’m not all/only about PL’ing…going to pick up a new addition to the family. 10 month old male mix from the shelter. MY Dog !! Currently discussion is if he really is mostly Pit or possibly Alapaha Southern Bull Dog.

I’ll get pic up here so you all can debate…oh, his name at the shelter was “Wimpy”, yea right, that’s not happening in my world…new name is Odin - Odin is a god of war and death, but also the god of poetry and wisdom.

Look at that floor press. Going to be hitting meet PR’s soon.

Awww, what a cute pic. That puppy already knows who Mommy is!

And LP, a story that includes viking helmets and Odin is by definition Epic!!!

Joe, thanks, funny I can hit a 200# floorpress, but only 195# bench, guess I gotta get tighter!!

Punnyguy, ok you win, it will be EPIC !!

Isn’t that the one I posted? Am I slow today? It’s a kick ass video and pretty inspiring.

I think it’s both the same video??

But O - Yes, this will be an awesome meet, wish you and Snap could be there, maybe Mainy and Lula?

I’m honored that you even recognized me in that video  Thanks! Now I just need to get into a Leviathan like most of those girls, lol. My application is in already, and prep cycle begins 1st week of February.
Woot Woot !!!

kmcnyc - Thanks, Odin is great, I just can’t wait to give him a bath, pee ewww, still smells like kennel, but can’t get his stitches wet yet.

How did I miss the pistols, doesnt surprise me how many you whipped out first try!

O thanks for posting that, I could watch it over and over!

How cool to be part of that Lil

I sent my surgeon and PT video of me doing 10 chins and benching at about the same phase in my recovery. Both responded that it made them “nervous.”

What an inspiration you are.[/quote]

Lol! I sent a vid of my pistol squats to my PT and she responded with “Please stop going below parallel” HAHA!

Inspiration indeed! Great work as always LP!

That looks like a hell of a meet and a weekend.

okay, I wanted another quad exercise, after heavy back squatting, I just don’t feel like front squats, so I remember Snap saying something about pistols, and thought I’ll google that…

Found several variations, there’s no way in hades that I’m getting this overweight body on one leg and below parallel, then back up on 1 leg !!!

I did a “learning” method sort of like a box squat, probably a bit above parallel, so this isn’t so epic… I did do 3 sets of 10 on each leg…

Well, I can frickin’ barely walk this morning and I know tomorrow will probably be worse…my goal is to go below parallel for those sets/reps but will probably take some time…

OMG, no! It IS epic! Pistols are just about the hardest thing if you ask me.

And I actually progressed the same way - een more remedially, actually. I started mine first sitting on a chair, moving to standing. Then going standing down to above parallel, parallel and finally below. Did take some time, that’s for sure. lol! I do think its a great exercise. I really like BW stuff. I find it equally as challenging as lifting.

Keep killing it, mama!

Mashy - thanks I appreciate your thoughts!
