Would they have had to convert an offensive lineman to play QB if he opted not to come back? :-)[/quote]

No man they were working underground with Tom Osborne on putting together an option offense with Jackson, Peterson, and Gerhart.

Who would be the actual quarterback? I know Jackson’s listed as a QB and has ‘played’ for them in the past, but he is terrible.

It would have been Jackson. He physically is very capable of playing quarterback. Hell of an arm, physically strong, tall, and fast, just mentally he is not a team leader and can not read defenses and coverages worth a shit.

So he’s a running back who can throw? I think I remember seeing him on ESPNU or some other channel when he was @ Alabama State. Pretty good athlete.

He is definitely an athlete, after this season I don’t want to see him be the QB, I also don’t care much for Brad Childress’s actual coaching ability.

He has done a spectacular job putting together a great team, but that man just can’t coach, he always finds a good way to fuck things up. Even Brett Favre supposedly said that Brad doesn’t know dick about offense.

August 20th- Deadlift

Basic stuff, not letting myself fall behind on my log. I had a huge cheat meal last night, tons of carbs, and somehow my weight this morning was about the same. As far as I know thats a good thing, still have a long way to go but I have made huge progress.

Oh yeah and I meant to post this video-

I love this move so much and I love this song. I bought the soundtrack and listened to it today at the gym.

Looks like things are going well, keep it going!

August 22nd- Bench

Another great day of benching. My weight was up a few pounds today. Yesterday I completely took the day off of my diet, ate crap all day long. My friend and I went to World of Fun, a amusement park in Kansas City so even if I wanted to it would have been really hard to get everything together to have a whole days worth of food to bring on a road trip.

Anyway, had a great time, last day of summer today before its back to school tomorrow, I will finally be able to get my training schedule back together to where I want it to be.

Trying to keep up with you kid! Not really planning on maxing, I plan on just plugging away on rep PRs while they keep coming. We will see as far as testing, maybe in another month or two, I am happy with the way things are going at the moment.

In my experience I am better at benching for higher reps than for lower reps, whereas it is the opposite with my squat and deadlift. The calculated maxes are always a bit higher than what I am actually capable of with bench, but squat and dead the calculated maxes are low than I am actually capable of, its weird.

Hopefully I am wrong and can actually bench 330, but I am guessing I am somewhere in the neighborhood of 315.

August 28th- Squats

Morning weight was about 252, it has been up a bit the past few days but it is on its way back down. Squatting went well today, school has started so the empty gym I got used to over the summer has changed.

Squat
1x3 255
1x3 290
1x4 330

Walking DB Lunges
2x10/side 30s

Leg Press

1x10 8 plates

Bench is one of the most annoying lifts I have ever done as far as trying to increase my max goes, lol. I think im still around 315 as well but will be aiming for 330 in a few months. The race is on!

Well you have me at the moment in the deadlift and squat department so I have to have something on you!

At least I am more swoled bra, at least I think I am.

August 27th- Press

Lowest morning weight in a while today, 250.4 or something like that, so pretty happy with that

Press
1x3 120
1x3 135
1x3 155 -Didn’t push it, felt a bit heavy.

Dips
50 Total Reps

Pullups (3 different grips)
50 Total Reps

I pushed the reps up to 50, I feel like I am making really good progress on those two exercises which I am very happy about. A mid term goal is to hit 3x20 on dips and be able to hit sets of 5x10 on pull ups, both of these may take a while, I am not sure.

DB Pinwheel Curls
3x10 60s -I haven’t done these for a while, they felt great.

On a personal note I am now working on moving into a new house, almost got an entire coat of paint on my new room tonight, hopefully should be mostly moved in this Sunday. I am moving in with my older brother and one of his friends, I pretty excited life in general is pretty good right now.

August 30th- Deadlift

This weekend was crazy, my diet was thrown way onto the back burner, training didn’t happen, just really really busy. Basically all I did was paint, move some stuff, paint some stuff, take stuff apart, put stuff back together and there is still a ton to be done.

Starting today I am back on my diet, I was just too busy and didn’t have access to my own food choices while moving. My morning weight was 252 something so my weight didn’t change much.

On to the training! Deadlifts went great today, I was very pleased with my performance, today I decided on a rep goal of deadlifting 405x10.

Deadlifts
1x3 300
1x3 345
1x6 385 -PR +20 lbs for 6 reps, I think, I was very pleased with this.

Lying Leg Curl
1x10 70 -After this set one of the trainers ran over and asked me to lift slower because I was going to break the machine, I said okay and kept doing what I was doing. When I do leg curls I try and lift as explosively as possible.
1x10 85
1x10 100
1x10 115
1x15 85

Seated Cable Row
1x10 140
1x10 160
1x10 180
1x10 200
1x10 220

Straight Leg Calf Raise
1x34 stack
2x33 stack

Hanging Leg Raises
3x15

1x10 95
1x10 135

Facepulls
3x15 60

Didn’t train today, but this morning I weighed 247.2, putting me around 20 pounds of total weight loss so far.

September 5th- Squat

Today went alright, I have been lazy as shit lately, been taking random breaks from my diet, taking random breaks from training, I am really disappointed with my own lack of effort. When I start a new wave next week I am ready to re-commit to my training and stop being such a pussy.

Squat
1x5 275
1x3 310
1x1 345 -First rep felt good so I went for a second, it didn’t quite go up.

Walking DB Lunges
