I think the point is that the way the constitution was originally written that voting wasn’t a right, and that there are too many people in this country that take these so called rights for granted.
That a lot of what people in this country consider a right is really and concession entitlement.
If voting actually mattered I would agree; however, it is electoral votes that count. Why do candidates spend so much time in the big states? It is because they want the most electoral votes. Like I posted earlier 99.99% of your state can vote republican and the electoral votes can go to the democratic candidate. If the popular vote was all we had I would be more inclined to take voting over gun ownership, but it would still be a close one. Espcially when so many uninformed voters vote. [/quote]
Yepp understand, completely agree with the popular vote concensus, so every year when you register, you give your social, take a quick exam to make sure actually know what the president is and how are our government works, all gets linked to your social in one large database.
then when you go vote you give your social and provide ID and everything is stored in one central database with necessary backups.
