Very Low T Numbers. Input?

This was my initial dose and typical. You feel ok for a few weeks then crash. Its why I advocated for starting higher and titrating down.

Ya that makes sense. I see the logic .

What was your AXIRON dose?

It’s been awhile but I think 3 pumps a day?

Be careful with this. In most states, the doctor must have a license in the state in which the patient resides. You can travel to the state the doctor is in and meet with the doctor face to face. Thereafter, you can be managed over the phone since you initiated care in the doctor’s office, in the state in which he/she is licensed.

Also, telemedicine statutes vary from state to state. In most, there must be an initial in person office visit before phone follow-ups.

So, there are two issues, licensing, and telemedicine statues.

So these docs said I had to fly over for the first appointment. Yup.

Some clinics have actually gone through the process of becoming a telemedicine provider in differrent states. He told me about it: but some states do not allow it.

Found a new doctor who switched me to Androgel with 4 pumps/day and he’ll check my level in four weeks. He was far better informed than the first doctor I was seeing. Since I started the androgel, I’ve noticed that I am retaining a lot of fluid in my hands and feet. I also just feel a little off, not sure how to describe it. Forgetful, anxious, edgy. Does everyone experience this when they first start replacement therapy? I don’t think I was getting anything with the AXIRON. I just want to make sure that I am not going to continue to feel this way. The fluid retention sucks.

Thanks to everyone who has been posting. I really appreciate the input.

Lots of mixed reviews on andro gel. Everyone who used it didn’t like it for trt. It doesn’t absorb well and people don’t deal with the side effects well.

If ur gonna do trt jsut ask him for cypionate brother. Call him and say your skins rashy with this and you hate it. Or do scrotul cream which is in par with injection. Actually better from what I’m told.

That’s one of the raps against Androgel, greater effect on E2 levels and fluid retention. However, there are some who like it and prefer it over injections or pellets. You must have insurance coverage for your TRT?

You can’t control dosing well on tropicals and there’s a greater chance at E2 conversion. You will find most if not everyone here on injectable testosterone and we can better control our levels. It’s common to have absorption issues down the road and therefore T-gels users usually always end up on injectable testosterone.

So, wanted to share an update since my last post. I’m feeling so much better. I was switched to androgel and it is a much better solution for topical application. I’ve lost 55lbs, gained a LOT of muscle, and actually have a sex drive again. Still trying to dial in the correct dosage, as my last check my T was at 2038, so doctor halved my dose. Have another blood test in a month. But all the fluid retention issues, zits, oily skin, etc. cleared up about a month after I started treatment. If anyone new to therapy reads my post, I cannot stress enough that you have to give your body time to adjust, and that adjustment period is rough. But once you even out you’ll feel so much better.
