Those aren’t bad at all. Glad you ditched those toners.

Hips are sore due to the horse and running fun. Gotta stretch them out…a door was just opened.

Tell me about it! I lived on a completely imaginary time zone for DAYS when I was on vacation in Uruguay. Missed the boat ride back to BA and everything. It was fucking hilarious! Stupid “summer hours”.

Sounds like a beautiful trip! Horse back riding is so much fun!! And I would LOVE to hit a sauna with you

Miss you bitch!

Ha, ha you have to run in brooks too. We have different foot problems, but Brooks have always worked well for me. They make good quality ugly shoes. As it should be.

haha i have some brooks, too.

we have a shop called ‘the athletes foot’ and they measure your feet and then you stand on a pressure plate so they can see how you distribute your weight and then… they proceed to bring you several pairs of the ugliest shoes you ever saw which are all perfect for your feet. they tried to sell me a special thing they had going on where you could actually get a pair of different sized shoes since apparently most people have feet of slightly different sizes. they were really very comfortable… but still, i didn’t fall for that. sniff.

yeah for solidarity with ugly running shoes.

last week I was a organizing a conference, and this weekend was a bachelorette party… I think I can finally go back to the regularly scheduled program starting tonight.

I feel totally unmotivated, but I always feel this way when it’s been a while

I refuse! As a synesthete the numbers 531 just feel terrible! Bleh! They even look terrible. All brown and stripey and pulsating. shudder

55 is nicer. Ahh…a calm oasis of green.

Your stuff looks good!

Means you’re doing it right. Keep doing it.

I didn’t run at all when I was pregnant with my daughter, and I had a really hard time coming back from that. I remember how awkward the running felt. Stick with it. I promise it will get better. Don’t worry about speed or distance. Just time on your feet. Better to run slower for longer when you start out.

thanks for the advice!!!

Now you see why I have that aversion to them things. Video of your stride, please. And it’s an ELLIPTICAL. I know this, as I was just told by the doc to re-establish a friendship with it.

Ha, I hear you on the boredom issue. I can’t stand doing cardio on a machine. That’s why I do spin now - it’s less boring and I can’t just get off the bike and go once the class has started.

Synaesthesia is interesting - it’s when people “see” colours when they see certain words or numbers or hear sounds. Sometimes they get tastes. I know someone who is almost blind but experiences crazy colours when he hears music or looks at his computer keyboard.
