Yep! That’s exactly what I was doing. Like Ben Bruno demonstrates here but far less impressive for me:
I tried them on TRX like he does but it had the same shitty feeling on my elbows. Oddly enough doing them on a straight bar doesn’t. I just back my feet up enough so I can dip my head past the bar on the descent.
Overhead French press actually feels fine on the elbows too but I don’t have a good seat for it. I did them in a kitchen chair a while ago and when I lowered the weight behind me I almost dumped the chair backwards ![]()
