There’s also an “old fashioned” train near here that makes dinner runs. (Prime Rib!) 5 course meal. She’s never been. We’re going to do that on Sat, which is our official Valentine’s date. The night before she got tickets to the NIN concert.

You wouldn’t be referring to the “Dinner Train” would ya?

You are such a romantic
Fluffy

Remember, all the effort you put in this month will pay off in spades next month. And only three days before Paddy’s Day.

I was induced, so maybe the doctors and nurses in the hospital thought it would be appropriate !

Ragoo, that is rag-tastic. Have a great time!

As for me, I’m allowing the existence of a kitten in my home, at my GF’s choosing for valentines day…

If you knew me you’d know how big of a gift that is.

HaHa! When I got married, I laid down two rules. One was no cats. The other was no job lists on the fridge. I hate cats, and my buddy’s marriage was pretty much destoyed by his psycho wife making huge job lists and posting them on his fridge. We still don’t have a cat, and my wife usually keeps her verbal ‘nag’ list to one or two items at a time.

Works for us. :0)

Yea in Fremont.

My son got a ‘Great Big Sea’ CD for Valentines. So this morning, while the family was eating their cinnamon buns, we listened to this… <:-)

Great Big Sea - Scolding Wife

And if the devil’d take her I’d thank him for his pain
I swear to God I’ll hang meself if I get married again
And if the devil’d take her I’d thank him for his pain
Though I swear to God I’ll hang myself if I get married again

When I get up at breakfast time she’ll tap me on the head
When I come home at dinner time I’ll find her drunk in bed
When I come home at supper time at patience I must stop
'Cause she drinks what’s in the teapot and I must drink the slop

I’m waiting for Steak & BJ day to take effect.

Stacey works at a florist. So she won’t be getting any flowers from me. Also, since she works at the florist, I haven’t seen her much the last few days because they are so busy. And she’s working late tonight. :frowning:

I’ll see what I can do with what time we do get together.

Didn’t get her anything this year, I feel terrible. But I’ve also got 3 mid-terms all on friday, so I told her we’re shifting valentines day 3 days over and she sounded pretty pissed.

Any ideas for a make-up gift? lol

You’re screwed…get your palms ready, my friend.

Seriously, I don’t know.

Well, whatever you do, don’t take a shit in her skillet.

YOU

We might need a little bit more than that Nelford.

Anyway, to the guy who’s in trouble, have you thought about taking her to her favorite resturaunt or a new place she would like. What kind of gifts? Roses, Candy, Card, and the whole deal. Thought about the things she loves and how you can incorporate them into your eventually V-day.

That was my initial choice, although I figured at this point it would be a bad idea.

I decided I’m going to go and get her this expensive tree she really wanted, and then make her dinner this weekend. Except I’ll go to the gym beforehand so I can reap the benefits of making a really good postworkout meal.

A damn tree?..ok…if she likes trees, then good job. Also, ask some women. Like ChinaDoll or…she’s the only woman I remember on this board at the moment, but ask them. PM them.

Dinner, Check. You cooking her favorite food? Or are you trying to make something new that she might like.

Tree, Check. A tree? Maybe you can hide card/note in the tree depening how big it is. Or something

Chocolates-
Flowers-

Also, if you can, wrap the stuff. From what I’ve read, it makes a person happier to open a gift that is a surprise instead of knowing what it is outright. Good luck. Just be sincere about it.

Get her a pack of condoms that she can use on her pissed-at-you-one-night-stand.
