V-Diet Advice

I am interested in this diet, because I feel I have the will power to do it. I weigh 170 lbs around 14-15% bf (5’8""). I’d like to get into single digits. Just a couple of questions:

  1. I looked on this forum and found only a few examples of ppl actually finishing the diet… a lot of ppl started and couldnt finish… would those ppl that did finish post before and after pics plz?

  2. I am worried about muscle loss. I have been busting my ass over the past 6 months and have gained 4-5 lbs muscle MAX. Is it realistic for me to be able to keep this hard-earned muscle while eating so little?

  3. How do ppl feel about HOT-ROX and its role in the diet? I like to avoid supps whenever possible (except creatine, whey, and BCAA’s) but I would take if necessary.

  4. How healthy is this diet? Could it have some effects that I do not know about long-term?

Just looking for good advice, and hey, if I like the answers, you’ll get a before and after gallery.

Humbly,

J

The vast majority of people who try this diet are VERY happy!
I don’t know what you read; check out these links, especially the logs and support groups. This diet kicks ass. Not everyone likes to put pics online, and especially those who still have a ways to go, and may have benefited the most.

The diet lets you keep muscle mass if you stick to it as it is designed.

(3)
HOT-ROX is crucial, it is a core component of the diet. It helps maintain muscle mass (questions 2) as well as supports your metabolism, help suppress appetite, and give you an energy boost… you do NOT want to skip it.

(4)
Very healthy - you’re losing fat, keeping muscle, look better naked, give your digestive system a break and get rid of toxins… what’s not to like? It is only 28 days, best to stick to it exactly as it is designed.

I know, there were only 4 questions. This diet is one of the biggest successes to come from T-Nation. PM me if I can be of help.

I second wakiki’s #5, hard but highly effective! It just plain works when you follow the plan! Just remember to set aside 2 weeks after for a reintroduction to food.
