Good distinction, and I agree.
I do think the right is plenty guilty in pushing for division though. Not that it makes it okay. Bad on both sides. Just that it isn’t just the left.

No. I dislike politics nearly as a whole. I do; however, see on a daily the detrimental effects of leftist policies.
Of course they do… But in my estimation the left has a much broader willing audience susceptible to the lunacy of identity politics.
They divide us on every metric. Race. Ethnicity. Sexual orientation. The countless genders.
I only care if youre a decent human. And dont fuck kids or animals.
Yeah, the suburbs just have record numbers of mental illness and the prescribing of medication. ADHD, anxiety, depression, gender identity crisis etc. How many mass/school shooters have been minorities from the ghetto? These are issues caused by the left. The confusing of children, not letting boys be boys, and medicating them etc.
Are you suggesting that increased access to mental health services is a contributing factor to mass shootings? That is a wild take IMO.
Well, if we break down the mass shooters by race, white people are under represented in the US for mass shootings. Based on the percents of each group, we would expect more of the shooters to be white (% of white mass shooters < % of white population).
IDK if I see these lining up quite that way man.
Most mass shooters are white.
Most shooters are not.
Gonna need some more yarn on a corkboard for this one I think.
If all groups of people are equal that should be expected though.
“Equal” in what sense, population percentage? distribution of mass shootings among races, respective to current population percentages?
The percent of white mass shooters is less than the percent of white people in the US.
We would expect if all is equal and we had three groups, one 50% of the pop, and the second two are both 25%, that the percentages of mass shooters would be 50, 25, 25 for those groups. If white people are the 50%, the amount of white mass shooters is less than 50%, which we wouldn’t expect.
That’s funny. I don’t even think about it anymore, but I hear gunshots more nights than I don’t where I live. I live less than 10 minutes from downtown Dallas, and closer than that to some really rough spots.
and I see the same in Texas from the right.
Poverty and criminality are inherent to big cities for reasons that are outside of left or right politics. Neither side addresses these issues appropriately.
Call me old or curmudgeonly, but I cant read CRT without thinking Cathode Ray Tube.
I have a lot of family in Mpls. One of them is involved with some property/construction type stuff. I don’t quite know what he does tbh, haha. Anyway, I saw him over the 4th and he was saying something about the “2040” plan or something? Being able to build multi-unit homes in previous only single-unit neighborhoods, and how the progressives ended up being the ones against that because, surprise surprise, they really care about poor people but don’t actually want them living in their own neighborhoods. Then he said some properties he’d invested a lot of time and money in in downtown Mpls. ended up getting shut down due to the EPA. Anyway, he kept using the name “2040.” Made it sound like a big deal. Is that a controversial topic or really only if you’re someone who’s involved in the real estate industry?
I’ve heard a bit about that on the radio lately.
I think it was the people who didn’t want it to happen found that they did not do an environmental impact analysis (not the agency EPA). That was silly IMO because it seems like common knowledge that multi family houses have a lower impact than single family homes.
It is one of those things though where I can understand it. My parents neighborhood (south of the twin cities) got substantially worse when they built section 8 near them. My car got broken into shortly after. There were lots of stories of robberies where the robbers are seen either coming from or going to the section 8 area.
It is kinda one of those things where it is easy to point a finger and say those people are selfish assholes for trying to block this stuff. Then it comes to your neighborhood and you realize crime is going to go up, your property value is going to go down, and traffic is going to increase.
Yeah I completely understand the concern. It’s more the attitude…no one’s going to come right out and say they feel that way, especially not the people who’ve been pushing to “help” poor people.
Jesus Christ. These fucking cops. When you actually see it, it’s way worse. And the border patrol guys that have balls shove police out of the way and do work. 3 minutes after the first shots were fired 5 officers were in the hallway. No one went in for another 45 minutes!
For anyone that played WoW, they are like the bots in Alterac Valley at the starting GY.
“Yo we got inc to stormpike GY”
Uvalde cops: damn that’s crazy
Border patrol - “Leroy jenkins!”
Curious what everyone’s thoughts are as to this footage being leaked…
It is really bad.
Quick let me check my phone with the punisher logo as my lock screen while I sit here and be a coward while another massive dbag makes sure his hands are clean and uses hand sanitizer.
Covid is deadly dawg.
Appalling. Had they done what they should’ve, stopping people from running inside is proper protocol but… They didn’t.
Absolutely heartbreaking.
