Using a Vaporizer and Training?

Honestly…half of South Houston, the third ward, the fifth ward, and about 40% of Katy would be all schizophrenics by now.

I don’t really think people understand how huge a failure the “war on drugs” is if anyone still thinks like that.

wow, some of these anti-weed statements sound a little far fetched. I know more people who smoke pot than I do people who do other drugs, smoke cigarettes and/or drink booze. I’ve seen plenty of friends do pretty stupid shit because the were drunk out of there minds. The craziest thing i’ve seen my pot head friends do is fire up a vaporizer and play tetris for 2 hours.

What I can say from my experience is that:

 • weed is harsher in terms of tar and carbon monoxide (i’ve read twice as bad
 • wake and bake (i.e. smoking pot all day everyday) is not a good idea. It’s detrimental to your mind and body.
 • It’s great post-workout to mellow out and pain relief

So by using a vaporizer you cut out the combustion aspect, therefore no CM or tar. The second point is to only smoke as a ‘reward’ after training, work and once all other responsibilities are over. The question I still have is if that THC still has negative affects on hormones etc. I’m not a weed advocate or anything but i think that people really need to look for or demand real studies that are not biased and are totally objective. Because one thing i know for sure is it’s not turning people into lazy unmotivated couch potatoes (well maybe wake and bakers) or suicidal maniacs.

Molly does,Pot is fucking overrated.

Step 1: Buy a Roor or bong with nice thick glass
Step 2: Purchase a vape with a whip
Step 3: Google how to hook your bong up to your vaporizer
Step 4: Make a thread that thanks me… if you can remember you fucking stoner

Apply the 1 in 10,00 rule. One person in ten thousand are going to experience difficulty X, one in ten thousand are going to experience difficulty Y, etc.

So when you have five million people- Five thousand of them are going to experience something that the other 4.995 million don’t.

So if it were said that “5000 people will have schizophrenic breaks, suicidal ideation, munchies, gastrointestinal distress…etc.” the general public will take it to mean that there are five thousand drug crazed cannibals leaving a gas cloud in their wake right now, as we speak, and they are comming for YOU!

Cuz big numbers can be scary, and no one wants to be eaten by hippies.

Well if you wanna get high a vaporizer is definitely the right way to go.

Only about 15 % of THC is transferred through a joint whereas with a vaporizer you can get upwards of 93%.

And the lack of motivation stated by Sex Machine has also been observed with acquaintances of mine. It’s not that they don’t want to work, it’s just that they don’t give a shit when they’re high.

Yeah…and most of the people I see on this site don’t look all that muscular. If I take that and form some opinion like “weight lifting leads to people looking like they don’t train because that is mostly what I see here”, then that would make me moronic.

I’m willing to bet that your friend that jumped off a cliff was doing more than just smoking weed. And also I’m sure he had issues that would of been there even if he never smoked weed or did drugs ever.
He wasn’t a friend just a guy in my year. From what I understand he had tried ecstacy and speed in high school but after high school just smoked marijuana. He smoked it every day and was completely insane by the age of 20 when he jumped off a cliff. Including him there were three heavy dope smokers in my year who developed schizophrenia. No one else in my year developed schizophrenia to my knowledge. There are a lot of studies that indicate a link between marijuana and schizophrenia. From my experience and these studies I’m inclined to believe the link exists.

Schizophrenia is largely hereditary.

At a glance that might seem like compelling evidence, but it doesn’t take into consideration a myriad of confounding factors, like family history, life stressors, ability to cope or time period in life for the manifestation of mental illness like schizoid disorders (that last one is a big one). Drug use and abuse may exacerbate these problems, or confuse a diagnosis, thus making them harder to pinpoint and treat, but they will still be there minus the drug.

What really stands out is the time period and escalation of use. Smoking everyday isn’t regular use. It may be a regular occurrence, but not normal or recreational.

I’m not the type of person that should use drugs. I no longer do, nor do I recommend that people find out the hard way that they are the type that should not use either, BUT that doesn’t mean that no one ever should.

LOL, too true.

I love weed myself and the only negative effect that I notice is it drains my CNS.

So if I’m hitting the gym the next day, I will quit smoking a couple hours before bed (and not smoke a crazy amount before that) so I can “clear” myself a little bit and wake up with a little more focus/drive (and of course never smoke before I go to the gym, my own policy)

other than that weed is just…well…it’s just great!

Perhaps they smoked weed and self medicated because they were schizophenic, not the other way around.

It doesn’t matter. They are using the same logic that makes people think steroids make you kill your family so we should ban HRT.

I have never actually understood the need to lie to kids about this stuff.

Abso-fucking-glutly…

Great way to increase appetite and is a great relaxation/sleep aid.

But we should spend billions trying to eradicate it, instead of spending that money on meth/crack/heroin.

THIS! I am worried that the THC is slowing my CNS during the olympic lifts. I never smoke before a workout but I wonder if it’s actually slowing me down or is it alll in my head?!

BTW smoking before a ‘pump / lite’ workout is one of the experiences I can recollect.

Whats up with aluminum?

I was absolutely saturated with it for a couple of years (shop environment) and haven’t really felt like myself since.
The aluminum in antiperspirant supposedly causes Alzheimer’s disease.

And some of the uptight people need to smoke a little and maybe they would be able to relax once in a while. There are a lot worse things you can do then smoke weed, and it helps with chronic pain, appetite loss from chemo therapy, and can also help people with sleep problems.
