I did catch a few minutes or highlights of some games. Hell, I always tuned into the finals in the past despite it being pretty tough to watch.
But with all this equality bullshit and political garbage thrown in your face everyday causes a bit of a backlash, and I know I’m not the only one.

Decades ago, women’s football was as popular as mens, crowds of 50,000+ were common. The F.A. banned women from playing in their leagues thus ruining the women’s game (in England at least). Therefore, I don’t think it’s unreasonable that in this day and age the women get their fair share of coverage of their biggest tournament, the World Cup, considering us men genuinely did ruin the game for them back in the day.
That’s my issue.

@yorkshireiron: well I think the tournament had decent coverage, well at least here in Australia. Do you have an issue with the media coverage that occurred in the USA or Britain?

No. Quite the opposite. That was my point. A couple of posters above were complaining about it being “rammed down their throats”, I was trying to explain that I think it’s only fair it gets its’ fair share of media coverage.
