I’ve seen you on numerous post’s and I’m wondering why you won’t show your face? Where exactly are you from? Why don’t you enlighten us stupid americans? I would love the chance to jump on whatever terrorist supporting land you live your miserable life on.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Non-American is either one of the losers living in this country taking full advantage of all we have to offer, while despising us at the same time, or a pussy who’s afraid to reveal what country he’s living in lest we should lob some shit his way. Either way, it’s chicken shit.
Haha. You can’t stand to answer my points so you try to attack my person. You don’t get that privilege.
Pussy.
Nope, I won’t tell you that USA suck because that isn’t what I think, so no need to raise you HR and Blood pressure! :0)
I would like, if you care enough to read this whole post, explain my point of view on this whole deal. I would also like to hear your opinions afterward, please just don’t use a bunch of st and fk.
For the record, as some of you might know, I’m canadian and more precisely from Quebec so my perspective of America is quite different than yours but not totally without similarities.
IMHO, the whole right-wing vs. left wing debate should be a thing of the past. This way of seeing the world, bipolarism, have been quite popular since the cold war and well before that. However, I’ve found that most of younger people (20-35yold) tend to have a little left AND right wing ideals and sincerly, it’s good. The whole world isn’t black and white, Christians and Muslims, good or bad but humanity is a large spectrum and where you stand is a matter of sociological, political and personnal choices. Frankly, I don’t care if guy X is against abortion, as long as there’s is a logical rationale behind his ideas, I don’t have a problem with that. Heck, freedom of speech and of thoughts are important, don’t you think?
As far as the letter goes, I tend to agree with the message. The minimum of politeness when one is going abroad is to live by the standards of where he goes. North America and Canada in particular have been way to gentle and smooth against this kind of hypocrisy(I want the advantages of N-America, but I don’t want to be part of the culture…) and it left many people(me included even after 4 years of volonteer work with immigrants!) with a bad after-taste. It’s quite comprehensible, nobody likes it when you help someone and you don’t even get a thank you, or worse a “That’s all??”
Quite frankly, I and the people I know, don’t envy USA. I don’t hate USA either. You have a different culture and way of life, which IS PERFECTLY FINE TO ME! BUT, what I hate most and find irritating is when some Americans come in my country and tell me it’s so much better in the US, blahblah…If it’s so great, why don’t you stay there and stop wasting my time and energy?? I think this is the main grudge developped countries have against the US. We can be all partners in a global effort to raise our life standards (and security…)but when you got US representatives that go in X country(let’s say Canada) and tell “it’s going to work this way of there won’t be any deal”, this isn’t negotiation but dictatorship and quite sincerly, any sovereign country will likely give the boot to the poor US representatives. IMHO, non-american are sick of the 2 wights, 2 measures US apply in their international relationships
Do I hate Americans, hell no, look at the fun and great discussion we got here! But I dislike American politics, which is another matter altogether. So I don’t think you have to point the finger around and threat everyone with a different opinion of losers, slackers and so forth…
Do I envy your society, nope but it’s okay. I like it when I read your post and I see a strong desire to change USA for the better, I would say I’m reassured. It mean you have at least some kind of sociological awareness.
Well, that pretty sums it up! :0) Sorry for the long post, I thought there was no way a small post could have enough nuances to do justice to the good and bad of the US. Feel free to reply,
My 2 cents, as usual!,

P.S.: Sorry for the spelling and grammar mistakes, I’ve done my best :0)
Thanks to LPdSB for explaining his point of view. I agree with much of what you say especially your point about assimilating. I enjoyed my trip to Quebec and was treated the way I treat people–with respect. The opposite is also true: Individuals like N/A only regurgitate some opinion they heard from a biased source which explains why people like him can’t give lucid arguments to explain their outrageous OPINIONS. Yes, there are many biased sources but an intelligent person pursues many sources and then gives you their perspective.
I remember reading about the women in Florida a while ago in the news…and from what I remember she is a muslim convert, not an immigrant. Apartently there are a lot of american women converting to Islam.
LPdSB said it all.
By the way, I am from Canada. Bring it.
