Recounts are used for confirmation when results are closed. Filing pathetic, baseless lawsuit after lawsuit and refusing to concede is virtually unheard of
Are we referring to probes regarding potential Russian interference? This differs from outright refusing to admit defeat. Trump has refused to concede… why do you ALWAYS defend Donald Trump no matter the subject material at hand. He could piss in a glass, hand it to you, call it champagne and you’d probably believe it’s champagne.
I could bring up his 20+ rape accusations and I’d bet you’ll say “but they’re just accusations”.
Yeah, I am sure it’s a bombshell, just like every other bombshell, there is no bomb in it. Feel free to go nuts looking for it. There is no crime, just wishful thinking.
Sure, but a lot more evidence Trumps associates colluded with Russians than Obama’s associates.
From the Wiki I linked:
“Barr said that the special counsel found did not find that Trump colluded with Russia. But the report did in fact outline many events of Trump operatives working with Russian operatives to help Trump get elected.”
Perhaps if I had several serial killer friends that worked for me it would be comparable.
That is true. He only has to show not guilty. He is also on the hook for showing not guilty for obstruction. He hasn’t done that yet.
Then it said Mueller would have charged him if not being constrained by Barr.
Yes Hilary ran the FBI if I remember right. I believe she was a Supreme Court justice as well. I remember thinking it was weird that the FBI she ran would release that statement about her emails.
Do you actually believe these things or think before you type?
Are you telling me Clinton contested the results of the 2016 election immediately after vote counting. Stacey Abrams wasn’t the POTUS either.
At this point we have the PRESIDENT OF THE United States (someone who ought to be setting a good example for the American people) undermining democracy, making baseless claims, pushing conspiracies and filing lawsuits because “TrUmP dOeSn’T lOsE”.
You didn’t read the whole conversation apparently. the investigation was into Russian collusion. That investigation came up with nothing. During that investigation things happened and they added to it an investigation into obstruction. Trump was innocent of the crimes he’s being accused of obstructing. He was innocent at the time of the obstruction per the investigation. They are separate issues and it really isn’t that hard to understand. The ethics of the investigation hinge on Russian collusion. Russian collusion was a lie per the report.
Well, I did post an article above in this thread showing how a government of a certain country in Asia can officiallychange someone’s race so they can make that person President since ALL other race races were excluded that year from running and their candidate WON BY DEFAULT because there weren’t any other candidates from the required race. This isn’t even surprising anymore.
Oh please, filing suits isn’t undermining democracy. Hilary still contests the last election. Look at Gore and Florida. Lawsuits and recounts for a month or more.
The only unprecedented (other than the standard trump tweets) part is how close so many states were.
In regards to Trump and collusion, correct. In regards to his associates and collusion, incorrect. In regards to obstruction, incorrect.
No, from Barr’s summary in the wiki:
On the question of obstruction of justice, Barr stated that Mueller did not reach a conclusion; he quotes the special counsel as saying “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”[
This isn’t the same as being innocent. Additionally (also from Barr’s summary in the wiki):
However, Mueller’s report does in fact outline dozens of actions Trump took that were in fact obstructing the investigation, and Mueller concluded that he would have charged Trump with crimes had he been allowed to.
Doesn’t even sound “not guilty” to me. Innocent is a long way away from this.
IIRC the actual report itself never explicitly said he was exonerated in the first place. All it stated was a lack of evidence. I could be wrong, though.
There is separate liability for obstruction, regardless of where the investigation landed - it is a separate crime. Trump has not been exonerated of that and potentially faces investigation and indictment over it. Whether he was found guilty of criminal conspiracy re: Russia isn’t relevant.
Cutting access to ventilators in democrat run states, Ukraine phone call, postal service tampering, sending federal agents to sweep random protestors off the streets, repeatedly spreading misinformation and/or outright lying, firing and/or re-positioning anyone who disagrees with him. This man is the poster child for democracy.
