US Presidential Election Predictions

It is damn catchy. I avoid hearing it for that reason, but just typing about it is starting to get it in my head.

I watched the video too many times. My own fault. Should have turned the music off lol.

Oh Florida.

81% reporting and less than 20,000 votes separates the two.

NYT calling it for Trump. Apparently an 11 point swing from cuban neighborhoods.

Interesting. I’m tracking NYT and CNN online as well as the AP and they all have it gray still. I wouldn’t be super surprised about the Cuban swing. Miami-Dade being reported as the area that was “bad” for Biden surprises me (Aston Hearndon from NYT web)

Also surprising that Virginia was called for Biden with 26% reporting and TRUMP leading vote results 58% to 39%. That’s some shitty reporting. I know the Beltway will swing Biden, but come on…terrible.

Gray but with the results from Miami definitely looking like a Trump win.

Thought this was beyond odd as well.

FYI I saw it on the map at 13% first, but thought it was a fluke. Clearly, if it stays blue and Trump ends up winning someone is going to be eating serious crow for their coverage.

Well, Florida going to Trump means the landslide folks are off biased…

That said, how Ohio (more so than Fla) goes will probably give more clues to how PA goes. So far, Biden leading Ohio.

That’s because they do this shit based on where the votes came in from and project. With Biden underperforming Miami the expectation would be that he would lose with panhandle results type stuff.

But I will agree it looks moronic and you would think after how 2000 went and the fact that 2004, 2012 to an extent and 2016 went in terms of closeness that they wouldn’t do this shit.

It’s stupid but I guess every pundit would rather race to be first and be right than wait. It’s the opposite of how I would do things but I’m not a pundit.

Biden getting a solid lead in two big suburban counties, one in Texas (Williamson suburb at 98% reporting), and one in Georgia (Cobb). That’s interesting.

Obviously not going to swing Texas on the strength a suburb, but it’s definitely a signal of changing interest.

I’m seeing Trump wins Texas and Georgia.

(unexpected) Big turnaround in hispanic vote (vs in 2016) was supposedly why the “major” polls had Biden pretty much leading the entire time in Florida.

Hearing claims $100 million buckeroos were spent trying to unseat McConnell LOL.

Old white guys in the South never lose, on either side of the aisle lol.

The drive for The Scoop. Built into the heart and soul of all journalists, reporters, and pundits.

It’s pretty incredible. Trump won Texas by 9. Everyone thought Texas would be purple eventually but I’m not sure people thought it would happen this quick.

I don’t think it’s enough for Biden to actually win but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s close and a major battleground from here on out.

What’s shocking (other than spending that much on a lost cause) is how hated people like McConnell and Pelosi are and they absolutely easily cruise to victory each time.

I wouldn’t be surprised, funds got a big kick during the summer and the SCOTUS push. I was seeing ads pushing against him all the way out here. But silly. Short night for him.

Yeah I don’t disagree. But the suburban trend is interesting because it seems to be popping up in multiple states that are less red. But both Texas and Georgia are solid red for at least this election.

I would say this was true for me at least. Obviously Trump has been spending money there for a while, but I didn’t see the flip happening by that margin in the latino population. Or at least not in 4 years.

I’m surprised, which is why I pointed it out. Not enough for the win tonight for Biden. I think Trump carries it by less than 9 though

<cough, cough> “The Honorable Richard M. Daley, Mayor”

For sure. What’s the scoop though? Just wait an hour when you have more data. I just don’t see the need to rush to a conclusion that could be inaccurate. I actually have a problem with them calling any states that have a lot of votes left. I don’t care if it’s Mississippi or Cali where we expect a result. Just wait a bit.
