US Presidential Election Predictions

Oh, I mean spam as in telling you to attend some seminar so for some free gift so they can sell you some time share shit or something. It’s usually ladies with US accents in Hong Kong. Locals will spam me when I’m at home.

The scammers will say something stupid like your phone will be automatically shut down in 2 hours and ask you to key in certain private details. The ones I get are normally from China. Now it’s all automated. Looks like even scammers are being replaced by AI.

Now I’m also getting calls and even emails about having packages from DHL stuck at the customs and absurd stuff like this. The Nigerians seem to have given up.

Trump’s wins everything he did last time and adds : Minnesota, New Hampshire and very narrowly (may take a couple days to sort out) Virginia.

I dont think the polls are even close. I’ve never seen this much excitement for any candidate, ever. Im north of the capital district in NY. All the energy is for trump. I saw a giant trump 2020 “no more bullshit” sign hanging from a crane near Saratoga the other day. His voters are going to turn out, big time.

Didn’t posters talk about this kind of stuff when Romney was running against Obama?

The rational (imo), not the emotional, pundits seem to believe the momentum is going Trump’s way, but it will be close. Trump 100% needs PA, and hopefully the peaceful protests in Philly help. (edit: peaceful protests obviously sarcastic)

Biden coming out of hiding to campaign in Fla, and embarrassing himself in the process, the trotting out of baby jesus, does seem to indicate it’s not the slam dunk the MSM wants us to believe.

I think that’s indicative of the fear that there are going to be more escapees from Democrat Plantation than they are comfortable losing.

Biden will win

I don’t get any of this at all in the US and don’t know anyone that does.

I’d venture to say I’ve never seen this much excitement for voting someone out either. We will find out soon enough…well maybe not depending on how tight.

Of course Trump wants everything counted on election night and thinks it’s illegal for it not to be. Which I believe is close to the one millionth thing he doesn’t understand. It’s also a scenario where if it was true Gore would have been President. But trust me if he’s behind and it’s close he will be waiting to say let’s let everything come in.

It’s easy to have fewer new cases when all of your unmaskinated people have already died.

I have. 04 Bush. But Kerry, like Biden was just a place holder. The “vote em out” crowd never materializes the way all their noise would have you believe. Similar to Obama 12. The candidate with more enthusiasm always brings people out.

04 Bush and 12 Obama had long periods where they were significantly more popular than Trump has ever been. While I would agree that they had passionate people ready to vote them out neither of them had as much consistently low approval ratings as Trump has.

Although other Presidents have gone up and down a lot at different times Trump’s disapproval ratings have been very consistent and steadily historically low.

That doesn’t mean he loses although I think he will.

It’s going to be a weird watch as places like PA have lots of ballots in that haven’t been counted. So the state could look dominating for someone based on in person and then look the other way at the end.

There’s an automated system now that just Flys through serieses of number combinations by the thousands/second, then when one rings it is directed to either a csr or an automated message.

I think he’ll get it. I’ve seen sooooo many old school tradesmen, steel, steam fitters, boiler makers, just freakin’ everybody–that was traditionally hard core dem. turning on to Trump.

I’d speculate that oil&gas thing was a real freakin boo-boo, because there is fuck tons of money flowing into people’s pockets at every level around here (western PA) and nobody wants it to stop.

If Biden had a working memory he would known that it was just a few years ago that him and Obama had declared war on a different segment of the energy sector that feeds a lot of Pennsylvanians, and everybody except him still remembers that.

And yeah, @antiquity, I know, data vs. anecdote.

Sounded like the only meaningful point that came out of 2 debates, but of course the MSM “told” us Joe won, based on their polls…

Lol. You not a scientist, you wouldn’t unnerstand…

I don’t think he meant it badly. He’s right, in that Philly has an overwhelming population advantage, but only if the entire greater Philadelphia region voted the same way.

PA has turned red before. Here’s how.

If I had to characterize the whole state, I’d say that even the dumb ones are still pretty practical. You gotta respect how the bread gets buttered!

Unrelated to thread. Delete Pls.

This can’t be understated. My father lived 53 years and never voted a day in his life. Auto mechanic. Hated all politicians. I guarantee if he were alive he would register and vote for trump in 2020. These are the guys coming out of the wood work this year that in a lot of cases weren’t there in 2016. With this segment of the population, tradesmen, hard working middle class, Trump’s support has grown a lot in the past 4 years. I think the numbers will surprise a lot of people.

Actually, my first thought reading was - wow, someone as unlikable as Hillary only lost by 44k votes in PA? I had assumed the margin was larger. Let’s be honest, Hillary was an awful candidate. I’d bet good money that Biden will outperform her. So, the question is how many stones did the Trump campaign leave unturned in 2016? I don’t doubt Trump’s support among blue collar whites, but are there really that many that didn’t vote for Trump last year that are going to show up this year?

How big a moment was Biden’s debate comment really? Did folks really not know the party of the Green New Deal wanted to transition away from fossil fuels? Quite the lapse on Fox News’ part to not let their viewers know.

Snub your nose all you want, but tell me, How’d that work out for you last time?

You have enough of blue teams brand of winning yet?

Look at my chart above, consider it versus Biden’s main speech point - that Trump has willingly killed Americans with his Corona bungling, while everyone else is defeating it. Then bask in the saying, “Perception is reality.”
