US Presidential Election Predictions

“Let go of your hate, Luke.” Seriously, don’t get hung up on any man, no matter who it is. He, nor anybody else is worth your emotional well being.
Well, I won’t presume to tell you what to do, if you want to rage over Trump go ahead, I guess. There are people with in the system I dislike intensely as well.
And barring a real-long, long-shot you will have your wish. Then we get Biden and we will rue everyday.
But hey this China stuff is coming on strong. War is not out of the realm of possibility, they have done too much and gone too far, in oh so many ways. They are maliciously attacking the U.S. by theft, proxy loyalties and a little bio-weapon named covid. So in a year, we may be talking about just surviving, who knows.

I do. I don’t reckon most people know what a strawman is. I am talking average Joe-shmoe don’t realize when they argue that they are skewing off point and making strawman arguments. But I do believe many people will deliberately create a more defensible position out of the context of a discussion, if it leads to victory. And, in the world of unstructured discussions, it often works.

We see people get called on it here all the time. You can get away with a bit, but go to far, and one will likely get called out.

Shameful for the country and especially his supporters. Trump is shameless.

Comon’ Mu. You know that’s not true. I think many people, especially the media has created a caricature of what a ‘Trump supporter’ is, what they look like and how they act in real life vs. the reality that most of his supporters are just regular folks who really just like the guy.
This caricature entails that Trump supporters are just dumb, white male red necks robots who don’t talk so good and don’t think so good, hate MLK and love the Nazi party of Germany and hang on Trump’s every word. It’s just not true. That’s a strawman, actually. Attacking the caricature of what Trump supporters are, rather than actual Trump supporters.
I guess it’s easier to attack and pour white-hot hatred over an effigy than real people. Real people who have a face, a soul, feelings, families and pets are harder to beat down and destroy if you have a conscience. But once you have created that caricature and have done a push to include all Trump supporters, it gets easier to do stuff like this:
https://www.ptnewsnetwork.com/michigan-trump-supporters-home-firebombed/

Did this guy deserve to have his house bombed because he is a despicable Trump supporter? I have a feeling too many on the left would agree this man must be destroyed. When you have branded an entire group as irredeemable, less-than people, this stuff is easier to do. And when the perpetrators are celebrated, well it’s only going to happen more.

Don’t worry Mu, all your wishes are to come true. They want to put us on lists and re-educate us. This is what Trump supporters have to look forward to:

The plan, apparently, is once they cease power those of us who supported the President are going to be put on lists, I maybe already on them. They want to dox, report us to our employers and bring us in front of “Truth and Reconciliation Commissions”. So be patient, they are working on it and you will get all the revenge and retaliation you could possibly dream of. They’d be better off killing me, I will not comply.

Don’t worry, your tribunals and commissions designed to root us out will give you all the revenge your little heart desires. If you want to burn down a Trump supporter’s house or beat one down in the streets, I can imagine you will not be condemned by anybody, you will more likely be cheered on. So go nuts! Get violent and destroy these horrible people who are lesser.

I’m a Center Right sorta’ guy Pat and I don’t wish you or any other Trump supporters any harm. All I wish for you and the rest of them for Christmas is to get a clue.

By the way, I’ve posted sources for most of the arguments I’ve made and never suggested that anyone, not even Trump is deserving of a violent reaction to the mess he’s put us in. Instead of responding to any of the points I’ve made you’ve gone off the rails and implied that I’d like to do harm to someone simply for having a different political viewpoint. Nothing is further from the truth. Have I been less than complimentary to Trump supporters? Yes! If the dunce hat fits, they should wear it and many of them proudly do. Their dunce hats say “MAGA.”

@pat:

I personally don’t have a caricature of who OR what a Trump supporter is or looks like . Nor would I ever suggest that one be killed or have his or her house firebombed.

And it’s strictly hyperbole (bullshit) to suggest that there are going to be re-education camps or the like.

With that said…the unwavering support of this man; irrespective of what he says or does; ESPECIALLY for groups of individuals who during President Obama’s Administration professed this great “Love” of the Constitution and the importance of preserving it’s fundamental tenants; suddenly throw it all out of the window when this psychopath of a President appeared…and CONTINUE to follow him despite his attacks on one of the fundamental pillars of Democracy.

Then to support all of Trump’s lies and falsehoods with no evidence whatsoever is (IMO) the very definition of “derangement”. (This is especially true of people that “should” know better…like the GOP members of the House and Senate…)

But you voted for people that have openly stated that they intend to punish Trump supporters. Don’t you want to ensure that there will never be another Trump? Start putting Trump supporters on the available lists so that they can be held accountable.
This is what you voted for. This was out in the open, there is not secret here. Social Justice rules the day. Silence is violence and violence is fine as long as it is against a Trump supporter. Nobody hoodwinked you guys, all this stuff was out in the open.

““Me-first capitalists … are going to be the first people lined up against the wall and shot in the revolution. I’ll happily provide video commentary.” — Dick Costolo, former CEO of Twitter”

Here’s a starter list:

Here is more:

Here is where you can put Trump supporters you know on a list:
https://www.trumpaccountability.net/

Put these people on a revenge list! You now have a chance to punish all these fucking horrible people.

This isn’t make believe, do you see how many prominent people have called for this? Journalists and politicians. These are regular Joe’s here.

Which is indicative of a distorted reality. If you really believe this stuff, then you should cheer, support and participate in our re-education. Don’t tell me you wouldn’t enjoy making a Trump supporter suffer physically for supporting him. These less-than-humans, being as terrible as you say, do deserve it. Either they deserve the random violence directed their way or your assessment of Trump supporters is false. Both cannot be true at the same time.

That may be your way of thinking, @pat…but it’s not mine…

Assuming that he voted for Biden, I don’t ever recall Joe saying he wanted to punish Trump supporters. In fact I distinctly recall him saying the opposite: “I’ll be a president for all Americans, not just the ones who voted for me”.

That’s bullshit and you know it.

The Trump accountability project should be shutdown and the people responsible for it should not be allowed to start up another similar project. Obviously. But the government can’t shut them down.

Probably a standard type statement many politicians would make. However, I inspired by it after the 4 past years of speeches we have been getting from Trump (seem to be designed to be polarizing).

I think now is the time for the Dems to get rid of the polarizing stuff from the fringe. Stop implying the GoP is supported by idiots. Stop silly phrases like “defund the police”. Those things didn’t seem to bring over Trump supporters effectively. Now we don’t have Trump. We should all try to be less political polarized.

Swift.

To-the-point.

No dissents.

Laughable. Those people weren’t on the ballot I filled out. I live in Alabama and the Democrats I voted for were Biden and Doug Jones. Neither of which won in my state of residence and neither of which have called for violence, reeducation camps or anything else like that against Trump supporters.

Also, if it needs to be said, I’m firmly against looney tunes ideas like reeducation camps, doxing or anything else against Trump supporters.

I do thank you for your post above with your sources: The Blaze and PT News Network. Now we can see where you get your (mis)information from.

I’m quite used to Pat’s unhinged, logic-bending rants, but he’s reaching new heights here. What is the color of the sky in his world?

Trump has been firing, disparaging, insulting, threatening, etc…, etc… any Republican who dares suggest he may have lost the election. He is doing his very best to end their careers and show them what their lack of unwavering loyalty even in the face of insanity will cost them.
And now we’re worried about the big, bad Democrats coming in and not being nice to Trump loyalists?

Agreed. I know an individual whom has accomplished more both academically and career wise than anyone on this form. WAY MORE. I’m talking about one of the most bigly dudes in the big leagues here.

His family is part of some (benign) Christian CULT with members consisting of people with similar accomplishments. I’ve not dared to ask his opinion about all the shit being discussed here.

Yes, Trump has been calling the SOS in Georgia an “Enemy of the People” for some time now. This is a guy who’s been a life long Republican who voted for Trump and now he and his family are getting death threats from Trump supporters. Trump has also recently praised the Qanon group: https://apnews.com/article/535e145ee67dd757660157be39d05d3f

The Qanon group has recently been labeled a terrorist thread by the FBI: Trump praises QAnon, which FBI says is a terror threat

Pat claims he is pro life but also argued for snipers to sit on top of a border wall and shoot anyone who comes near it.

Quirky fella.

I don’t doubt it’s political boilerplate on Biden’s part, but like Jonathan Pie said, “Maybe Joe Biden is the double dose of valium we all need right now”. And boy, it is refreshing.

Their party leadership (yes even Pelosi) has been privately saying the same things in meetings. Some of the Beltway reporting has talked about this. They’re trying to bring the fringe under control because even if they’re clueless about everything else they seem to be aware those phrases and fringe elements are killing people’s opinions of them.

I don’t think they’ll be successful though. Same problem as Trumpers–too much red meat for certain elements of the voting block.
