US Presidential Election Predictions

Simply read the direction of the thread…then your response.

If you don’t see the Strawman…then I can’t help you, @pat.

The scandal issue has been addressed. You simply chose to either ignore them or consider them as something else. Again…I can’t help you. I’m simply not getting into any arguments and/or discussions with anyone; either personally on on an internet Forum; who choose to defend Trump and/or his actions.

I’m glad he’s been able to deliver you and others “what you want”.

You can’t tell me what the strawman was? Because I sure don’t see one. I got a response and I answered that response directly. No strawman needed.
I know what a strawman is. It’s setting up a lesser, perhaps related claim and attacking it. Where did I do that, I am genuinely curious?

Get the hell out of here with this crap. This “thread” is all over the map, like most of them. I was given a direct answer. I directly addressed a direct answer. @mnben87 is good about that. I ask a specific question, he gives me a specific answer. I ask a general question, he gives me a general answer. I may or may not agree, but I get an answer that is related to the question at least.

You presented me with a general mishmash of all things ‘culture war’ and accused me of presenting a strawman.

No it hasn’t. I asked a direct question and haven’t even gotten an indirect answer much less a direct one. I cannot answer for you or others, you haven’t provided an answer and no one else has either. At least not an answer to me. And why can’t you? Or rather why won’t you? It’s such a simple question. And don’t worry I won’t ask again. the lack of an answer is sort of an answer.

If there was an answer embedded, but it was not addressed to me, well then there is nothing I can do about not seeing that. I have several people permanently blocked and I have a dozen or so responses to get to, so I don’t typically just peruse a thread because I am trying to get to everybody’s responses. So if there is an answer somewhere, by all means direct me to it. If I did miss it, I didn’t miss it intentionally.

Gladly…

And my apologies to you and @mnben87 if you were simply responding to a personal inquiry between you and him/her.

I am a him. Additionally, I was only responding in regard to demographics of conspiracy theories with Pat and Tails1. I haven’t followed the whole thread, just wanted to comment on research on demographics. I haven’t followed enough to say if it was a strawman or not.

@pat:

I should note that if a clear and concise answer (s) was given by individuals you have blocked; that can become a problem (e.g. the scandal issue) with determining whether you were answered or not.

However; in the end, that’s your choice.

A couple of noteworthy items:

  1. Today is Safe Harbor day for the election results. The only state that isn’t expected to submit certified results today is Wisconsin as there’s a hearing scheduled there for later this week. Safe Harbor means that congress will be locked in to accepting Biden’s win:
  1. There’s a growing call to sanction Trump’s legal team among their own peers:

https://lawyersdefendingdemocracy.org/call-for-bar-condemnation-and-investigation-of-president-trumps-campaign-lawyers-for-subverting-american-democracy/

I’ve been waiting to see when something like this would happen. There’s been zero connection between the lies that Trump’s legal team have been spouting publicly, and the “cases” they’ve brought to court. They know they face legal consequences to lying in court so they’ve avoided that to save their own skins, but they’ve continually lied to the public. Because we have the right to free speech and they have a willing audience of dunces who will accept their bs, they’re OK in a broader legal sense, but they should face consequences from their own professional organizations.

Yes, but apparently there are plans for Trump loyalists to object on the floor on Jan 6 when the electoral votes are officially counted and recognized. Not that it will lead to anything productive, but simply that Trump will not shut up about fraud just because safe harbor has come and gone. Really, there’s not advantage at all for him to be accept the election results. He doesn’t give a crap about the damage it’s doing to our country, and it keeps his dwindling but passionate base fired up and continuing to send money to has “causes”. Look for this to occur:

  1. He will continue to claim fraud up to the very end (Jan 20), with his most loyal allies continuing to back him.
  2. He will hold his “counter-rally” on Biden’s inauguration, where he announces his run for presidency in 2024.
  3. He will use his announced presidential run for his own personal wealth.
  4. He will never really run again. As time passes, he will fade from lack of constant exposure, those that actually support his lunacy will become a smaller and smaller percentage. He will become even more of an unhinged lunatic without the White House and presidency at least giving him something to do, alienating nearly everyone accept for those that found Melissa Carone’s testimony compelling.

Yeah I did read about some members of congress planning on objecting on 1/6. This is pure grandstanding on their part to appeal to their moronic base. They know it won’t go anywhere but their supporters are too stupid to know that. Their supporters will know that they fought the bad fight and did everything they could to keep Trump in office. It’ll be made for tv/internet/radio soundbites and nothing more. Well, it’ll be something more; more erosion in the confidence in our elections for no other reason than to continue Trump’s grift and parley favor in the dummies in our country.

#'s 2-4 are on point. #1 I think is off in that he’ll continue to claim fraud in perpetuity. This will be done to continue to raise money and because he’s incapable of accepting the fact that he’s a loser.

@antiquity

What a dick move.

This man has done a lot of things that have shown what a dipshit he is at his very core…

IMO, this would be one of the worst.

Speaking of which, Rudy farting during that hearing is so f’n funny. I love that he’s the leader of Trump’s “Elite Strike force Legal Team.” The running hair dye, the movie quotes, the farting, the four seasons debacle… Not to mention the total absence of any actual content for the suits he’s clogging up the courts with. He’s a total embarrassment.

What was this all about, @antiquity?

Nevermind…I saw it on-line.

God help us…

If you ever wonder “Who in the hell are these people that Trump is fooling?”, just watch that video and your question is answered.

Note: for some reason when I wrote that I completely forgot how to spell “answer”. It’s kind of a weird word to spell if you think about it.

That was a turn of a phrase, @Mufasa I didn’t mean it literally. I still like you even when your hassle me with your TDS.
I was the only person who welcomed you back after your hiatus after all. We’re having a terse conversation, we should be able to be grown up enough to handle it.

Possibly. But though it was an open question, I did ask you specifically. So I was expecting an answer from you, not somebody else. And if you want to cut and paste there answers, along with their snide comments that’s fine.
If somebody did make a list or answered the scandal question, they didn’t direct that answer to me. If I am not implicated specifically in the answer, there is no guarantee I will see it. There are too many posts to roll through all of them.

I wasn’t following the whole thread, I was just answering you. Somebody, I believe Tails were talking about an alarming number of people believing conspiracy theories. I inquired what conspiracy theories he was talking about and you answered with the covid stuff. Hence, my answer was regarding the covid stuff you presented. If there is a strawman in that, I am more clever than I thought because I don’t see it.

Thank you for that.

I am starting to get more than heated when it comes to Trump and all of his Dick moves…(especially lately).

I stated this earlier in the thread, @pat

“TDS” is directed at the wrong people. It really describes much more accurately his followers, enables and sycophants.

I don’t believe most strawman intentionally. It is really easy to do if one isn’t careful. Analogies are a good path to making strawman arguments.
