Ok. Fair point.

But no way that thing gets elected now.

To be deleted after my delete quota expires in a couple of hours.

I’m torn. It makes sense that you would rather not name names, and yet naming names in the right context is very instructive. Delete away.

They’re cult members. They’re like junkies. They need to go down the rabbit hole and hit rock bottom first on their own before they start realizing they’ve been taken for a ride. The best we can do is make sure less people susceptible to such influence know about them IMHO.

I, for example, didn’t even know there was something called an INCEL movement until people brought them up in this forum just to criticize them several years ago. A small minority of people not like us would have found out about it from the same source and gotten indoctrinated.

PS I don’t care about talking about INCELs since the media has already done all the advertising they need for them.

It’s not exactly unbiased, I can tell you that much.

This.

If Americans paid a bit more attention to things beyond their borders, they would be more alarmed at the undemocratic actions and speech by Trump, because they’d see the parallels with examples elsewhere.

Italy is still feeling the hangover from Berlusconi, a self-serving populist with twice the intelligence and four times the political skill of Trump.

Trump does NOT wish people to believe anythig. He does NOT have the good of the country and the legitimacy of elections in mind. He just wants to stay where he is, because he wants it that way and the only important thing for him is what he wants. Killed, injured, devastated … It’s NOT his problem…

And ten times hotter women. Even the insults were much better.

I’m not sure how far he would throw them under the bus actually. I think it’s even chances, but rich families do tend to stay together no matter how dysfunctional since they protect their assets.

I’m also not sure how hard he’s going to get prosecuted after leaving office. I’d like to think he’s going to get hit, but I don’t actually know.

This is what @loppar has been trying to tell people for YEARS lol. No one listens.

Yes. Listen to this guy calling in on Limbaugh’s show. There are a LOT of people like him and you cannot tell them that everything they’ve been hearing for the last four (dozen?) years was essentially bullshit - “listen guys, now we’ll pivot to filibustering, austerity, fiscal conservatism and concern about the national debt, and in four years time we’ll placate you with Marco Rubio or Nikki Haley”

The genie is out of the bottle. And the most recent lesson, repeatedly hammered home by Trump and his surrogates is simple - we lose at the ballot box. Why bother voting next time when there’s bound to be massive fraud perpetrated by the Dems? Trump caught the Deep State off guard in 2016 and they simply became more brazen with their fraud in 2020.

One has to explore other options to defeat the Deep State. And this is where the shitshow starts*

*I’m not saying ti will happen. It’s a plausible scenario, albeit with very low probability. But you cannot feed the people a steady diet of anger and resentment for years and expect them to keep watching the news and do nothing:

What do you expect from Americans? They don’t know geography, history or international politics. That’s why you have idiots calling Trump Mussolini which makes people not take them seriously. However, if they compared him to Berlusconi, Americans would be like, “who?”

We all know by now that Gavin Noisome only eats cake.

But, as long as the people have plenty of bread to eat, there will not be a renaissance of la revolution. Most of these people talk a good game, but they’re not getting off their couch to do anything about it. Unless they can riot and get freebies from the store of course.

There’s a reason for the guns vs butter theme taught in every basic economics course (well, they used to, maybe it’s SJWs vs Trumptards now).

You definitely understand this so I’m writing it out mostly for others.

This is like how people over 50 can’t separate the CCP from citizens in China, i.e., “criticism of the CCP is the same as criticising us” even though they were living off table scraps from the ill-gotten spoils of unjustly enriched rich government elites who managed to give the people the illusion that they were “humble(as in had no other incentives, just like this guy thinks Trump has none because he’s a billionaire) leaders fighting for their freedom” while being convinced there’s always a common enemy that’s out to harm them.

It’s EXACTLY how populism is meant to work. People in China still think Mao is a HERO and the main strategist behind the Cultural Revolution, Zhou Enlai, is the most respected man in China.

While I don’t see a Hotel Rwanda happening any time soon, there are definitely going to be loons doing stupid shit in the foreseeable future.

Ran out of edits.

Meant “people OVER 50”.

@loppar:

I saw a commentator responding to this clip…and he stated that with almost half the Country feeling this way; how will Biden even govern? How will he govern when over half the Nation is trapped in a disinformation bubble?

I grow sadder for our Country each and everyday when I see and hear things like this…and when I see Trump trying to make things as difficult for President-elect Biden as he possibly can.

I wouldn’t put it past Trump to get us involved in some type of armed conflict before he leaves.

Of course not. That’s what Netflix, pornhub and weed are for - to keep the masses sedated.

But there will be crazies, a lot of them. Like those guys that planned to hold a “people’s court” in Michigan.

They’re always around. It’s just a question of their current loony focus of choice.

People with guns randomly shooting innocents sounds more egregious to me. And we know that’s been in style for a lot longer than 2016, or AfterTrump in the new age that we apparently all live in now.
