Whatever infighting you have between military branches is pointless. IMHO any guy writing up to serve deserves some respect and is probabler better than that the average schmoe who doesn`t give a shit.
When 100% of citizens will be enlisted and constantly training, maybe then will these comparative competitions be more warranted.
That being said, in some countries, the service is obligatory for adults and training is maintained on weekends, with no excuses allowed, even when back to civilian status. Who would not think twice about attacking a country where every civilian is constantly trained year in year out? From what I have heard, Swiss follows this way of thinking.

I noticed that it says “Operation Enduring Freedom” on that poster, referring I guess to the attack on Afghanistan. I read a Red Cross Report where they said that Red Cross buildings, schools, refugee camps & other stuff were bombed. They know that a school was bombed because luckily the precision-guided bomb didn’t explode, it just crashed through the roof, & all the Red Cross buildings had big red crosses on them. I guess they really were enduring the USA’s brand of freedom in Afghanistan weren’t they? I mean, doesn’t “to endure” mean the same thing as “to suffer?” LOL

You will make no more money as an enlisted in the army or airforce. You learn more about the aircraft in the other branches. I am telling you this because it is true. The airforce is soo freakin large they can have people to specialize in one thing. Not so in the other branches. Limited man power you have to learn more of the aircraft.
I was a fuckin Quality Assurance for the whole aircraft except avionics. I have spent so much time working with the airforce. I flew all over the world with them. The one thing I always heard was promotion sucks it takes forever. I made StaffSergeant in 6 years. But I had my shit together. Dude I am not fuckin givin you a hard time because your a pussie I am because I think you have beeen misslead by someone. I am tellin ya straight up. Plus If your so fuckin hardcore join the corp.
We should be proud of all the men and women doing there jobs overseas no matter what branch they serve in. To put there lives on the line for people they will never meet, just to keep there freedoms alive, and most exmillitary would agree with this.

Hey Solo who is this directed towards? I must sayI have to agree to a point.
The airforce is the only armed force you see sun bathing while in the field, oh yeah you never see them pulling perimiter gaurd either, cause they are in the ac.
Wasn’t dense enough for the Marines or lazy enough for the Air Force, so that left Army or Navy.
I saw a pic once of a sailor with tits painted on his shoulder blades, and decided that spending months at sea in that environment wasn’t for me. So Army it was. Made Sgt E5 in just over 2 years. A buddy spent two years in the Air Force then transferred to the Army out of frustration, he was still an E3. (Actually he “quit” the Air Force and enlisted in the Army. The Air Force tracked him down and wanted to court martial him for desertion. Generals got involved, the paperwork got straightened out, and the Army promoted him to E4 right away then sgt a few months later.)
The air force is just a civilian job with a uniform. Promotions are based more on seniority than ability. If all you want is to say you served your counrty, without having to break a sweat, go air force.
After spending this last week with one of my brothers, I can attest to the fact that promotions come slowly in the USAF.He was stuck as a tsgt. for the longest, and just made msgt. here in his 19th year, and is looking damn forward to pulling the pin in 6 more months.
I spent twenty years in the USAF. Heard all this crap before from Marines, Army, and Navy. I won’t go down the line arguing about which service is “Better” but I will say this, Think I’m a Pussy? Come get some.
