So I haven’t looked too much into this as I didn’t care. I just know it’s not really recommended on here or something that’s praised. He’s recommending it in place of HCG.
Can someone shed light on why this isn’t a viable option??? Is it the side effects or is it not as effective as HCG?
It’s impossible to determine if there’s a benefit to adding clomid alongside TRT. Dr. Saya, the medical director of Defy Medical, says he’s seen NO measurable pituitary response using clomid in men on T replacement.
As far as treating testicular atrophy, keep dreaming. As for as fertility benefit, quite possibly.
If you’re the guy that’s going to get side effects on clomid in isolation, and you go on this clomid/TRT protocol, you just derailed your TRT protocol and treatment failure is all but guaranteed.
That’s a big negative, clomid is not effective at reversing testicular atrophy or increasing testosterone or LH while on TRT.
I do not think it is. However, I have a small number of patients who do this because they like the way they feel on both. I have seen small increases in FSH and LH, but I doubt enough to impact fertility, though none of these cared about that anyway. Regardless, I discourage it.
