Update: Mood Issues when on Injection

UPDATE: So I went to my current endo today and as I thought it was a pointless visit. I explained to him my issues with my mood and how I don’t feel good on my current protocol. I asked for a higher dose with more frequent dosing such as eod or ed and he said I should be fine my numbers are close to normal. i asked him to at least take some labs and for es and shbg and a thyroid check. He put in for a cbc and only free and total test. So it looks like i am stuck until i see a new endo next month.

Your doctor doesn’t give a f*ck about learning to do TRT the right way, close to normal are you kidding me?! Somebody believes high exogenous testosterone causes prostate cancer, I wonder where doctors learned that one. [medical school]

You wonder I always say you should not be looking for TRT in managed health care because the doctors don’t care. Your next endo could be just another slacker, then it’s going to be a long time before you actually get on an optimal dosage.

Your doctor isn’t even bothering getting you numbers in range, what a jacka**. He is actually telling you without actually saying it, I would prefer not to treat you because he knows you’ll find another doctor. then you’re someone else’s problem.

My new endo did an article here and he seemed to at least be somewhat intelligent. I was also told today that e2 has no effect on mood and trt is a voodoo. I ended up getting pretty nasty. It was pretty bad. he said I would be better off going back to clomid

Excellent, you didn’t let him off easy.

The medical industry is driven by patented drugs, it’s where the money is and it’s also easier for doctors because all the have to do is read the dosage recommendations and therefore little effort rather than actually use that gift from God called a brain.

Clomid, so that’s what he really want to do, his isn’t running a charity, but a business.

Funny he even said that the health system he is in is a business and we don’t like to prescribe more than the minimum. I couldn’t believe he actually said that. That was when I walked out.

Your doctor is under no pressure to produce a good outcome, if he was running a private business, it would die a quick death, but he gets referrals left and right so there is no consequence.

You should have told him the Yelp review will reflect your experience warning people on TRT to stay away like he is the plague.

So I did my last bloodwork on 50mg test cyp 2x week subq. I got the labs done early morning before my injection and look at this? How is this possible? if its real why do I feel so sh!tty? No other labs were ran this due to once again my doctor being an idiot.

Not quite sure what you’re upset about? Numbers look decent.

EDIT: I reread your post. You’re upset cause you feel like shit and you have decent numbers…

Maybe your E2 is too high. (cue the E2 Nazis)

Been on this dose before then tried clomid then back on this 4 4 weeks and boom. usually I am at the low end and e2 is 57. If T is nice and high and I feel terrible… I am going to demand to have my e2 checked

I hear ya.

All this talk about letting E2 run wild I’m still not buying.

You didn’t get SHBG measured either. That’s helpful.

Yeah SHBG was an issue for me years ago

Maybe the problem is with something else. You could have multiple issues, or something else is the actual cause of your problems including the low T.

but why all of a sudden such high t levels? this is not my first time on this protocol

SHBG is probably well down and less E2 conversion due to less available enzyme. Happens with time on TRT. What’s the E2 number? Iron?

My doc didn’t check any of that. I see a new doc in a few weeks

Your response to TRT is always changing, I remember when 25mg EOD used to get me 829 and months later got me about 500.

So during to my high numbers my current endo just told me 60mg once a week. Lol really I said how about we redo labs and get e2 shbg etc. He said no need. Man I cant wait until I see a new doctor

Ok so an update on things.
Quick backstory started trt 11 years ago with gels never really felt great except for a short stint with a good doctor who had my t levels in upper range and an ai but insurance changed and he was no longer covered. 3 years ago I stopped absorbing the gels and the patch destroyed my skin. Started 100mg test cyp a week with new doc and felt terrible with t numbers at low limits but high e2.
Fast forward to the last year. I tried clomid 25mg daily for 45 days then 50 mg daily for 45 days with no results but I felt better as far as mood and energy. My doctor decid6to put me back on test cyp 100mg once a week and my free and total t levels were slightly off the charts so he dropped me to 60mg and now t levels are in mid range but I still feel like crap. ED issues slow hair growth low energy and moody. Now in the last 4 months I have started lifting again and lost 50 pounds. Could that effect my levels at such a drastic rate?

If you’re not willing to inject daily or at least EOD, you will continue to struggle.

I am going to try eod. Just don’t understand why my levels are so high when I used to be like 50 free and 300 total on 100mg now on 60mg my results are better.
