I’m getting bloodwork done in about 3 weeks and have reached out to my doctor regarding signs of Low T. I’m not on any gear or TRT and never have been (the most I’ve done is Rad140 and YK11 years ago). I’m 27 and have been training for quite some time, and I believe I’m finally ready to take the leap into the world of TRT and eventually anabolics. I’ve built up a good chunk of muscle (and some fat, im cutting now) and progress has slowed down a lot more than I am satisfied with. Again, i’m only looking to be prescribed TRT - I just want to be familiar with it before I jump into anything more intense. I’ve taken my time and been patient, waiting to get near my genetic potential before taking anything to ‘help’.
At the risk of sounding naiive and impulsive, is there anything I can do to prepare before getting bloodwork that can effect the results to show I should be getting TRT? I’m looking for ways to lower Total and Free Testosterone for a short period while i get my blood drawn.
This whole post sounds this way. TRT is not something you do as a precursor to using gear. It’s a commitment you will most likely have to live with for the rest of your life.
You don’t mention any reasons or symptoms except training capacity.
You’d be better served to go in a get actual good bloodwork results so a good informed decision can be made.
I didnt mention any reasons because I didn’t entirely think it necessary to, but here goes:
-mood swings, sometimes into angry outbursts, others into short-term depressive states
-little progress made in training, despite significant effort (most sessions are RPE 9 or 10 and I leave drenched in sweat with nothing left to give)
-disinterest in sex
-constant state of tiredness
-lack of initiative when handling tasks that demand said initiative
I could have worded this better…
I dont want to invest in a cycle of something more intense if im going to have a bad reaction to something as pedestrian as TRT. I think i might need TRT, but im not sure - I would just rather be safe when dabbling in anything of this nature, and i cant think of a safer way to dabble than with TRT.
You’re ready to hop on TRT without even know if it’s an issue, I’d say very naive and impulsive. All the Gear in the world doesn’t mean you’re going to build tons on muscle, genes will determine everything.
I will not recommend anything unnatural, only action that leads to symptoms resolution if T is your problem.
I’m fully aware of this, which is why I haven’t touched any AS despite having considered it for literal years. I’m not asking for it to build tons of muscle, i’m hoping for insight on how it will make me feel and how I will react. I could have much more easily just purchased Test C and self-dosed but I’ve instead asked a forum full of people who are educated and experienced on the subject. In addition to this, I’ve scheduled bloodwork and a Dr’s appt so I can have it reliably sourced, bloodwork monitored, and made available as to avoid any disruptions.
So why then would you want to try to lower you test? As i’ve said, go in and get real/accurate results to see where you stand.
This is not something you just try. Your natural production will be completely shut down and then when you don’t feel like taking it anymore you could be fucked if you can’t recover. This is not something tp “dabble” in. Your messing with your hormones.
