nice first pull / first pull to clean. do you watch your vids during your session for immediate feedback or just watch the vids after?
Both. And the day after too. And just before the next session.

There’s so much to fix and I’m just so damn’ pretty.
heh. i use the camera on my computer for videoing. it is a bit of a mission… sometimes the program freezes up so takes a while to get it to record. sometimes it says it is recording and doesn’t. sounds like it is worth the bother of battling with it to watch my previous set before my next set, though. really do feel like i have no idea what i’m aiming to do / what i’m doing without more immediate feedback.

Listening to your knees crack in the first vid makes me cringe…

For as long as I’ve been conscious, they’ve always done that. I’m just glad it doesn’t hurt.

What’s the theory behind the polish presses?

I would have thought push presses would more closely mimic the jerk.

You are starting to look very comforatble sat in that deep squat before you initiate the snatch. All that flexibility work seems to be paying off.

You use a snatch grip, which is why they’re not called behind-the-neck-push-press. The theory is that they’re supposed to help with holding a snatch overhead.

It is in fact getting more comfortable to be in the bottom position.

teehee

Tony you do know the bottom really tops the top

polish presses look cool

we did something like it off big blocks or tables

well im short so mine where like tables.

not sure my neck would go for that now.

They don’t feel cool until you hit them just right - then they rock.

I’d love to have a pair of jerk blocks. To practice my jerks, y’know?

Stop giggling, Frenchie.

TBH I hadn’t even noticed that it was a snatch width grip. I just assumed that as the snatch has no press you must be doing it for the C&J.

Sorry for being unobservant.

I think you and Git need to make a calendar for Frenchie and Kimba… they seem like they would be appreciative.

Lifts are looking strong and smooth.

man, i am getting jealous(er) of your oly lifts. feel my hate>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Sorry if that sounded snarky. No reason you would know and it’s a reasonable assumption that it would be to help clean and jerk.

But, still: you were WRONG FarmerBrett. Wrong. Wrong Wrong WRONG!.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHahahaha…hahaha…ha…ha…whew…tired.

They aren’t. Although I’m sure you are good with them.

I agree - no way in hell. I can think of many tastier bits and bites.

Wait…what just happened here? How did I get involved?
The thing with calendars is that you need to look at the picture for a WHOLE MONTH. So, for me the pictures in the calendar need to be inspirational, or beautiful, or cause the mind to wander to what could be.

And that means pictures of women. Not men. Women. The kind of women with the attitude and body that should be captured on film and shared. Look in the mirror. You know who you are. I vote for a PG-13 (since it will be going on my fridge) calendar. Black and whites and / or colour. I know you all have hi-res pictures. Full body or just select views. No faces. Just the female form. A little calendar software and BAM! I’m being serial here.

OK, back to your regularly scheduled programming of Tony being awesome.
